Re: Need response--my doctor won't help
Putting it another way: Auto titration works by the machine monitoring your breathing rate, volume, apneas, hypopneas, and even 'vibration' (to detect snoring and other things like that) and attempts to anticipate and/or correct for them by increasing and decreasing the pressure to help you breathe....

Re: Need response--my doctor won't help
Question: Is there a reason why you're even using auto titration? In the charts you posted, for the vast majority of the night your pressure it sitting right at or near 9cm and it doesn't stray far from that except for times when it seems like the machine is somewhat randomly adjusting the pressure ...

Re: Who pays for Resmed cellular connection
As someone who works as a product design consultant for medical device companies, I want to correct a few misconceptions in this thread: 1) The data connection on ResMed machines is cellular - a CDMA network connection to be specific. In the USA that indicates that either Sprint or Verizon are the n...

Re: Nube looking for advice on settings and altitude
Contrary to what others are suggesting here about adjusting your baseline pressure to be higher, I think it would be helpful to understand what type of apneas you're experiencing. For example, are your apneas primarily obstructive, or central? If you're having central apneas, are they following obst...

Re: AirCurve 10 ASV
I may be speaking out of turn here as I don't have the facts, but it's likely that the machine doesn't send data directly to your computer and that it has to go through ResMed's servers first. If that's indeed the case, then that could explain the delay you're experiencing, i.e. the delay may be on ...

Re: AirSense Humidifier
I find that grabbing it by the sides (front and back) and wiggling it out works better than trying to use the textured thumb pull area on the top of the reservoir. Typically I can pull out the reservoir with more control and less force than yanking it out the other way. Snapping it back in doesn't p...

Re: Any others with CompSAS using CPAP/APAP?
After a few more nights of APAP usage here at altitude with the ResMed Airsense 10 Autoset to manage my prevalence of central apneas, I found out and learned some interesting things that might help someone else in the future: Turning off EPR altogether helped tremendously in managing my CSAs. I went...

Re: Any others with CompSAS using CPAP/APAP?
What's interesting is that, out of all my nights of huge centrals, I had one of almost none. It took me a while to remember what was different about the preceding day, and it was that I spent nearly all of it in Denver, 2000' lower. Since then, I've spent a couple of full days in Colorado Springs a...

Re: No dreams recall
I remember reading or hearing somewhere that either we have a tendency to dream toward the end of a sleep cycle (i.e. just before waking), and/or that we tend to remember dreams that we have as we wake. I don't remember if this was somebody's theory or based on scientific studies. Assuming it's true...

Any others with CompSAS using CPAP/APAP?
Hi all, In short: I'm a newbie to CPAP and have just started on therapy this week. That said, I'm a quick study and I've been reading a lot, but I have some questions about my condition and initial experiences using the ResMed AirSense 10 AutoSet. Some background: My home sleep study indicated an AH...
