Re: Sleepyhead and Mac - won't download..?
I couldn't get the file to deploy once downloaded to my Mac. I tried repeatedly. And I used to work IT. I eventually attributed it to the source file and gave up.

Re: Sleeping long hours
I sleep much longer on C-PAP but I don't sleep well on it. I've wondered why I sleep so long as well.

Re: Brand new and I should be a case study with these issues
Unless you get a tech or a doc that uses cpap their experience is only what others have told them. Docs typically know more about Dx than equipment. Techs know more about the theory of how things should work. The primary tech I'm talking to is a PAP user as was the tech who did my titration. I'm de...

Re: Hypopnea and Enlarged Tonsils?
Below is a photo of enlarged tonsils. You can imagine that this could cause difficulty in breathing. If I had enlarged tonsils and sleep-disordered breathing (SDB), I would have a consultation with a trusted ENT to discuss surgical removal of tonsils and adenoids. Definitely thankful mine aren't li...

Re: Skin allergy. Fibromyalgia. Giving up for now.
Is there a fibro/dermatological link I'm unaware of? Skin problems are common with fibro. As many as 50 – 80 percent of individuals diagnosed with fibromyalgia will develop skin problems, including rashes. The typical rash associated with fibromyalgia syndrome is red and can be flat or raised and b...

Yep. I'd been using it when this latest skin issue developed. My nose is still a mess.Soothest Sleep wrote:I noticed in archived posts that others have had success using lanolin (Lansinoh) on the skin to ease the irritation, and it has worked for me, too. Have you tried it?

Very true. However I've had no other kinds of issues with any of the products I use.BlackSpinner wrote:Natural does not mean allergy free. poison Ivy is all natural, so is hemlock and belladonna.
I react to lavender and most "floral" essential oils.

I was initially told I have very mild sleep apnea. It was only later explained that I actually have hypopnea. I'm hoping that means an increased likelihood that removal of the tonsils would help. And yeah, no more cutting things off than just the tonsil removal.

Re: Hypopnea and Enlarged Tonsils?
If there were any connection in your case, your doctors would have acted on it already. With your fibromyalgia, no stone would have been left unturned. It saddens me that you have such a hard path ahead, with no shortcuts, and are running out of motivation. Additionally, like I mentioned on my othe...

Hypopnea and Enlarged Tonsils?
It just occurred to me...... Before I moved back to the US from Germany in 2008, my ENT/Allergist in Germany wanted to remove my tonsils because of them being chronically enlarged (probably related to my chronic allergic rhinitis and chronic sinusitis, along with recurrent strep and chronic bronchit...

Re: Skin allergy. Fibromyalgia. Giving up for now.
I would suggest going to an allergist. My last allergy test about 2 years ago did not how any allergies except environmental. I've been treated for environmental allergies since the age of 5. I have gotten more sensitive to latex and other adhesives in recent years. My skin reacts similarly with an...

masks cause skin irritation, ulcers, sores, and pimples -----> Dermatologist. Maybe the doctor who is treating your fibro can recommend a dermatologist who has good results treating fibro patients. I'm no longer being actively treated for the fibro. The NSAIDs were the only meds helping and I can n...

Re: Skin allergy. Fibromyalgia. Giving up for now.
As always, thank you Pap-Daddy. I don't have everything written in an organized manner but I will organize it better. Thanks for the reminder. The masks seem to bother me more after wearing them for a bit. My soap is organic and very gentle and one I use daily and have for a long time. It's also the...
