A success story to encourage others
Well after 18 months since being diagnoses with severe obstructive sleep apnea I have finally gotten it under control. I am posting this because of how hard this was and I hope to give some hope to others logging on here for the first time. I had horrible sleep for years..... night terrors, thrashin...

SleepyHead snoring score
When I check SleepHead each morning my snoring score is at 0.0 99% of the time. I notice though that about three or four times a night it spikes very quickly to 0.2-0.4. If I have any alcohol around bed, it will have half a dozen jumps up to the 0.6-0.8 range. My question is what does this translate...

Re: How much did septoplasty help CPAP therapy
The ENT believes the lack of ability to breath well through the nose is the cause of the waking up. I went through four different masks. It does not feel uncomfortable. I do not believe it is leaking. I simply wake up between 50-65 minutes of use, sometimes gasping for air ripping the mask off. The M...

How much did septoplasty help CPAP therapy
Hello. I have been using my hybrid mask for about two months now. I am finally starting to fall asleep with it on, but only for about an hour. My sleep doctor had me recently see an ENT at the Cleveland Clinic because my septum looked deviated. I checked out the ET and his reputation is great and he...

Taping Dangers
Well I am coming up on my first month of CPAP therapy. To say this is frustrating would be an understatement. That said, to anyone who reads this who is on their first few days it does honestly get easier. I now have a question about tape. I use a Dreamware nasal pillow. I have an auto machine that ...

How should a chin strap fit
Hello All. I am on week three of my new CPAP therapy. I am still utterly stunned by the lack of information and guidance my doctor provided to me before prescribing the machine. I saw three different doctors at the Cleveland Clinic. They basically just said you need to use a machine, use it for four...

Acclimatization
Hello. I just received my first CPAP machine five days ago. I have read through a lot of these postings and they have answered most of my questions. There is one question I wanted to throw out there to see people's opinions. I have tried using my nasal pillow with the humidifier four nights in a row...
