Re: Hydrogen Peroxide to humidifier???
To eliminate mask face in the am, I just bury my face between wife’s garbanzos till I can’t breathe anymore. Problem solved. Face smooth as baby’s butt.

Re: Comments on Surgery
Since you didn't specify what surgery, I can only guess that the guy had septoplasty, which is used to repair a deviated septum; and I'll agree with him on the sore throat. Kinda like pouring alcohol on hemorrhoids!

Re: Has Anyone Ever Succunbed To Apnea?
There is a theory that SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) is a form of Sleep Apnea. That is a child under one year of age stops breathing and doesn't have the physical maturity to wake up to breathe. So, to put this to rest, a normal healthy person with sleep apnea would , upon prolonged lack of b...

Re: Has Anyone Ever Succunbed To Apnea?
I'm going to rephrase the question. Has anyone ever known of a person dying in his sleep due to the collapse of the soft palate or something else blocking their airway, not allowing them to breathe, thereby causing their death? Thanks.

Re: Has Anyone Ever Succunbed To Apnea?
This may be a dumb question; but IMHO there are no dumb questions, just dumb answers. Does anyone KNOW of a persons death being attributed to sleep apnea? Not dying in their sleep, but actually suffocating on their own windpipe . Thanks for the toleration. What the heck does that mean? But, I perso...

Re: Has Anyone Ever Succunbed To Apnea?
Thank you, Wuffman! The reason I emphasized the word KNOW; one of my sub contractors had one night out of town work, left his cpap at home, telling his wife"one night wont matter". Found in the motel room next day dead as a doornail. 41 years old, heavyset, nonsmoker in really good health, except for...

Re: How to Solve Humidity Problems

Unit was about $600 installed, handles 1900 ft on first floor, no maintenance except change filter every fall. We use gas logs plus it’s cold as well now and the air is very comfortable. Hope thi...

Re: Now have central apnea since starting CPAP therapy
Took 6 weeks for same situation to resolve itself with me. Time and lowering pressure did it for me. Also stopped fairly severe arrhythmia. Hope it'll work for you.

Re: Not Using Distilled Water?
At my age...I am a lazy sot for sure. I do use distilled water most of the time but I buy it at WalMart...I have no desire to distill my own and I don't have room in my kitchen or counter for another gadget taking up space. Now sometimes I run out and forget to replenish the stock (I only buy one g...

From one who CAN read goofball...... I meant Goofproof, I sincerely appreciate all the responses. Nothing to go to war over, I just respect SOME of the educated opinions on here and appreciate their input. As I said, have own distiller, but at my age, it and a lot of other stuff getting annoying. Th...

Re: Not Using Distilled Water?
Didn't trust local county water folks; had it tested at independent lab; said it was a waste of time according to what they analyzed. Thanks.
