I would think that is more of an issue with facial oils on the skin. Try rubbing the area with rubbing alcohol and let dry before applying tape. I've done that before using nasal strips.

If the machine had prior registration on MyAir you will not be able to re register it. I just bought a backup Autosense 10 from a guy who works for a DME with under 1,000 for that price and he clears the serial number on the MyAir registration. I don't see what removing the registration sticker does...
