Persistent morning fatigue
I have been 100% compliant with CPAP for three months. My machine shows AHI of 1-2 most nights. I still have persistent fatigue in the AM despite 9-10 hours of sleep. However I am not sleepy during the day. Are there others with this same problem? Is waiting longer the solution? Have other people fo...

Sleepyhead question about leak rate
When sleepy head gives you "% of time above Leak Rate threshold", what is the significance of this number? For example if the number is 17.28%, does this mean the cpap was unable to function properly 17.28% of the time during the night due to leaking? Or does the machine function normally in terms o...

Re: Depression medicine: Mirtazapine ?
I have used Mirtazapine in the past at a dose of 15 mg at bedtime for anxiety. I found that in addition to helping my psych issues it improved my AHI. I was using a dental appliance at the time. Before adding the Mirtazapine my AHI with the appliance was 15, after adding Mirtazapine it dropped to 7....

Australian heated hose
I have a heated hose from Australia (sold to me by Sleepzone) which is used to prevent rainout. I can't find the power supply for it and the hose does not show what size power supply is needed. I remember buying the power supply from radio shack but don't remember the voltage or type of power supply...

Variability of sleep study or oximetry readings
I am wondering if anyone has noticed that repeated sleep studies ( without treatment) show different values for AHI. For me personally the AHI has varied from 5 to as high as 18. Shouldn't the AHI results be reproducible assuming all other factors are the same? I have had the same thing occur using ...

CPAP machine with highest humidity output
Can those of you who have tried various CPAP machines provide feedback (ranking) as to which machines provide highest humidity (to help mitigate dryness from oracle mask). As with computers, are there any custom manufacturers of CPAP machines (cost is no object) that could build/modify a machine so ...

Re: Oximeter results help
My oximeter reports are in the same format as yours (probably from a nonin oximeter). There is something you need to be aware of to be aware of. The software allows you to set criteria for how it scores your recording. Under the analysis tab you can set percent desaturation. The default is 4%, this ...
