Re: Stuffy Nose only when I use my cpap

So my first night with my cpap last week went well for a first time I believe- 5 hours 45 minutes out of 8 hours of sleep. I was using the Wisp mask but I have sense picked up two others to try and also have backups so I can change them around. (Dreamwear and a full face) The problem I am running i...

Not immediately but it does go away if I adjust to mask

Re: Next ResMed Product -- 11 Series?

As silly as it sounds, I'm looking for something with Apple HealthKit integration. I agree I would love this. I already have my Apple Watch and take my BP twice a day and it links right in and also my scale syncs to Apple Health. l also use the Alivecor mobile ekg for my afib and I am awaiting the ...

Next ResMed Product -- 11 Series?

As silly as it sounds, I'm looking for something with Apple HealthKit integration. You already have it available in the AirSense 10 series - do not include the AirStart machines in thinking of solutions. http://www.resmed.com/us/en/consumer/newsandinformation/news-releases/2014/resmed-s-new-consume...

Re: travel sized cpap - anyone have one?

Thanks for the input. I don't need a travel size one at the moment but in the next couple months I will be looking for one. Although my fear is I rush out of the oncall room and forget to take the mask off and either I break the machine or my neck lol

Re: Mask sizing and accessories when your DME has 2 options

Part of the down side when you use an HMO and your choices of DMEs are extremely limited and they top it all off with the DME not inventorying a wide selection of masks. There are sizing guides available online that you can print off to help you decide on size. Check out cpap.com masks...some have ...

Mask sizing and accessories when your DME has 2 options

So I'm 1 night into this whole CPAP life and it's not horrible but I feel it could be better. I want to try different mask options but my HMO approved DME only has two options. The local sleep center that has mask doesn't sell to patients that don't use there sleep center. I'm willing to pay for the...

Re: How to move PCP along

In my experience DOs often see themselves as distinctly apart from MDs as having a more personal engagement in the healing process - if that is common in your program, use it for your own benefit. The nitty-gritty: look for points of attachment and commonality and use them. Comment: In my local DOs...

Re: How to move PCP along

To expand on my earlier comment: Given that you are in Medical school, have you identified a mentor on faculty or has one shown an interest in your progress? If you are shadowing and following on rounds, you have had many opportunities to evaluate faculty, including adjuncts, and they you. If you h...
