Re: Worried: Lung irritation after PAP

Thank you folks - that all makes sense! My expectation based on a promotional line which included response on "breath by breath" words misled me. I just read this great article which explained how different machines work: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4629962/ I may even have an answe...

Re: Worried: Lung irritation after PAP

I lifted it up of the floor (per Julie) and just made it length-wise... A question on Pressure readout. Don't know where to post it, so I'll try it here. I expect the System One Auto BiPap set in Auto mode to respond to my obstructions on a "breath-by-breath" basis and I wonder if it is. I wake up f...

Re: Worried: Lung irritation after PAP

Thanks Julie. I understand but my only other present choice is putting the machine on the floor, and I suspect that it is not good for the machine's motor to be pumping up 2-3 feet? Is moisture in the mask a problem for my breathing or is it just a nuisance that I can dry up when done each morning?

Re: What are small periodic blips in SleepyHead?

I never flatline during my centrals and these tiny pulses are always there, and always the same. Isn't too repetitive for human behavior?

Re: Worried: Lung irritation after PAP

Dear Pugsy, I also have a question about the system configuration - BiPap/humidifier - hose - mask/me. I just read that the machine needs to be below the mattress, and mine is a bit above it on a night stand. The hose comes out from the machine and goes up a bit over the bed's headrail and down to m...

Re: What are small periodic blips in SleepyHead?

I also thought that they are likely my "tiny breaths". But they are always the same during countless gaps, every night. They are identical in amplitude, shape, duration and rate. And they are spaced and shaped differently than my normal breaths. Could it be the machine "noise" coupling or something ...

Re: What are small periodic blips in SleepyHead?

Dear "Palerider". My cognitive functions went down a bit after I suffered a brain injury a while back. Couple that with me being a newbie on this or any other forum, and I am not very oriented. Still, trying to do the best I can, learning how to use a machine, having sleep issues, unfamiliar symptom...

Re: What are small periodic blips in SleepyHead?

Dear helpful folks! I posted my screenshot data an hour ago on this thread and it is not showing here for some reason, so I am re-posting essentially the same message in case something went wrong with my earlier submission. Sorry if the first one shows up - I don't want to anger anyone. I took a scr...

Re: Worried: Lung irritation after PAP

Hi Rick, I followed Pugsy's suggestion and increased a humidifier setting and it helped with the "irritation"... I am changing pressures mindfully, but at this very early discovery stage, I am not fine-tuning the settings yet but trying to find an overall range starting with no idea where it should ...

Re: What are small periodic blips in SleepyHead?

Dear helpful folks, I registered on this forum, and now want to post a snapshot a SleepyHead data to this forum for your kind review but how do I do it?
