Re: Headgear straps hurting my neck...padacheek?
I have a full face Amara view mask. I ended up buying some new headgear, because the straps that came with the mask were small and cut into the back of my neck. I am currently using this with mine: https://www.cpap.com/productpage/respironics-premium-headgear-with-EZ-Peel-Tabs.html. They made a huge...

Re: Just Had A Tonsillectomy & Adenoidectomy
My tonsils were like that -- My ENT told me they were the largest tonsils he had ever seen - they were overlapping each other. I was a walking zombie and was constantly choking every night. At first my insurance wanted cpap, but the doctor said it wouldn't help due to my tonsils. I was 32 when they ...

Re: Where is the relief???
Definitely look at the sleepyhead software recommendation. If you have the Dreamstation, you might also want to look to see if you can use the Dreamapper App - it connects to your dreamstation via bluetooth and will give you your AHI. Its not nearly as detailed as sleepyhead, but if you are interest...

Re: CPAP vs. UPPP for a young person
I had a tonsillectomy when I was 32 because I had extremely large tonsils (they were overlapping and I was constantly choking). At the time, I had severe sleep apnea and the tonsillectomy helped tremendously. My doctor wanted to give me a UPPP at the time, but my insurance wouldn't allow it -- only ...

Re: Sleep apnea and depression
I've dealt with depression for many years. I've been on cpap for about 3 months now and it has had the most impact on my depression. I am in a much better mood now and I no longer go to bed dreading the next morning. I can honestly say that I have not been happier in years. I am so much more focused...

Re: sleeping position and mask leaks
I've only been on cpap for about 6 weeks, so for what its worth: I am a side sleeper with a full face mask and for me, sleeping on my side seems to get fewer leaks. I got the CPAPFit pillow to help - and it really has made a difference - my regular pillow would push on the mask a little and had to s...

Re: Dreamstation bluetooth disconnect?
Is your machine on when you access the app? I seem to get disconnected when I open the app when it is on. Every now and then I get the "check your bluetooth connection" and at first I forgot the device and reset. The next time it happened, I went into the app, went into settings and reconnected to b...
