Re: suggestions for adjusting my pressure?

I'm pretty happy as is- but I guess I'm only tinkering with it to get rid of the cluster of events in the middle of the night? I'll try bringing the minimum up to 10 cm H20. On Sunday night I'll have access to a pulse ox overnight- I'll hook myself up and see what it looks like in the morning. It wi...

Re: suggestions for adjusting my pressure?

Hi! I didn't go away, just had SD card issues. I now have both an sd card that works and a computer that isn't crashing so ..... I have been taking your advice and feel much better. I'm wondering if I should keep adjusting the minimum up by 0.5? The dreamstation auto cpap is now set at minimum 9.5 m...

Re: suggestions for adjusting my pressure?

Armed with information I am going to fight the dark anti-sleep forces: work and family. I'm telling them if they don't want me back in the hospital I need more sleep. But realistically I have to get up between 4:15 am and 5 am depending on the day. I have the resources available to force the kuds up...

Re: suggestions for adjusting my pressure?

Palerider you have a nice smile. Is clustering signaled by the vibratory snore? Or is it something else? I'm feeling much better overall. I'm trying avoid afib. I'm 46, no medical problems and had an episode of lone afib in February. The only reason we could find for the episode was sleep apnea. I d...

Re: suggestions for adjusting my pressure?

Good Morning again! Palerider , I decided to go for changing just one variable. I upped the Max to 15, kept the minimum at 9. I didn't have any alcohol, and I don't have a cold, so those variables aren't there either. I rarely ever drink so it isn't usually a variable. The only other variable is kid...

Re: suggestions for adjusting my pressure?

Hi! No problems sleeping last night - I'll put the pressure up to 15 cm h2o max. I woke up today feeling more like I did after my initial in house sleep study- like my lungs were fully expanded, if you know the feeling I'm talking about...

Re: suggestions for adjusting my pressure?

ok, from sleepy head glossary: Apnea/Clear Airway Apnea Detection the the Respironics System One.. An apnea is detected when there is an 80% reduction in airflow from a baseline for at least 10 seconds if there is no airflow detected for 10 seconds. During the apnea, one or more pressure test pulses...

Re: suggestions for adjusting my pressure?

Sorry, flow rate is there. Flow limit is missing and reads as 0. In September flow rate data is missing, along with tidal volume, minute ventilation, inspiratory and expiratory time and respiratory rate- but I bet those last five aren't as pertinent. I know the sd card was in then. But regardless, I...

Re: suggestions for adjusting my pressure?

Thanks for the advice already; I'll look for "clear airway/central apnea" I couldn't find how to adjust my signature with the info- I will look for that. The machine is: Philips Respironics DreamStation Auto CPAP (500X110) ( but set in CPAP mode pressure 9 cmH20) I followed the instructions. For som...

suggestions for adjusting my pressure?

Hi! I'm new to the world of sleep apnea machines, though I have probably had sleep apnea for 4 years. My AHI is 22, just obstructive sleep apnea and not central sleep apnea. I have a new dreamstation apap that is set to 9. I have been using it since August 2, with AHI indices between 1.6 to 8, mostl...
