Re: New Sleep Channel On Disqus
Well, I'm used to underlined links, and not necessarily clicking on headings... plus there is apparently only one 'follower' on board now. You know, you haven't even (apparently) listed this site as one with lots of info... or did I again miss some obscure way of finding it? I mentioned this websit...

Re: New Sleep Channel On Disqus
Did you click on the headline? Its in bold. The main channel lists only the headline and 3 rows of text, you have to click on the bold text to expand it to the full discussion.

New Sleep Channel On Disqus
For anyone that uses Disqus.com, I have started a sleep channel called Nap Time. It will cover all things sleep related and that of course includes sleep apnea. I am hoping this channel will grow and become a valuable resource to the community just as this forum has become for me. If you are interes...

Re: Advice needed for struggling CPAP user
Thank you for the clarification on the 4 hours of compliance per 24 hour period, the DME is not very clear about it. I meant to say they told me 22 days per 1 month period they want to see 4 hours of use, having 60 days initially from when I received the machine to have free usage with the device be...

Re: Advice needed for struggling CPAP user
That is what I was doing to get acclimated to the PAP, the main problem I have now is wearing any of the masks available to me for 4 hours straight. I suppose I could just try and tough threw it a few nights or take a pain pill clock some hours. I was under the assumption I had to have 4 consecutive...

Re: Advice needed for struggling CPAP user
Thanks for the encouragement. I have heard of the SleepWeaver, I was looking into the Elan and Advance 3 masks ago but have not gone any further. The design looks pretty interesting but I didn't try it at first because I was told it has issues with leaking. At this point though I think that is going...

Re: Advice needed for struggling CPAP user
Which face frame does your Wisp have? I tried the cloth, but hated it, because it allows the cushion to press too firmly on my face next to my nose. The silicone frame clings to my face, and lifts the cushion so it just kisses my cheeks. This frame is also more durable. Nasal pillows must just bare...

Re: Advice needed for struggling CPAP user
Your complaints of noise with nasal pillow masks suggests leaking, and pain means they are too tight. See my swift Fx fitting tips in my signature below. It applies to all nasal pillow masks excel the DreamWear which does need to be more tight. I suspect your moustache is a culprit, too--it's getti...

Re: Advice needed for struggling CPAP user
Since you already have the Swift FX, you could try the Swift FX Nano. Just order the part that goes over the nose, the nasal mask, and it will work with the Swift FX headgear. I found the pillows uncomfortable, and liked the Nano better. I actually tried the Nano cushion at my DME when I was switch...

Re: Advice needed for struggling CPAP user
Julie I have taken Ambien, Lunesta, Sonata melatonin and I am even on 300-600mg of Gabapentin at night for an unrelated injury. When I was first starting on my therapy and was very anxious I tried Xanax and Klonopin. I have a very difficult time getting to sleep quite often, even when I have been aw...

Re: Advice needed for struggling CPAP user
I currently have the Dreamwear, Wisp, P10, Nuance Pro Gel, Mirage Quattro and Amara Gel. Dreamwear - It hurts my Columella (all pillow sizes) and the area just below my nose/above my mustache. It is loud but I can get used to it. After 30 minutes or so it starts to make my outer nostrils sore. I hav...

Advice needed for struggling CPAP user
I have been diagnosed with Irregular Delayed Sleep Wake Phase Disorder since I was a toddler, it prevents me from having any kind of set schedule with my sleeping routine. I have had 5 separate sleep studies done and have not been able to fully complete a single one. The only data I have is from 1 h...
