Re: I totally understand

He can't remember from one minute to the next. I've already told him. He doesn't know I've contacted financial planner and told him he needs to get things passed me and not talk with him any longer. Life insurance right now on auto pay. Planner will make sure I know if he tries to change this. Telli...

Re: I totally understand

Tough love doesn't work on an irrationally thinking person. I'm going to get the reports of his previous 2 sleep studies which never picked up or Dr. never reported to us of any apnea episodes. These were done for Neuro reasons. (Seizure and another sleep disorder). I'm now saddled with a 68 year ol...

I totally understand

I got my husband to use his cpap yesterday for 2 hours. That's a record! He came to bed early so I suggested he put it on. Ok, so I thought it was going to cool off a bit last night so opened the house up. Agh fresh air. He ripped that mask right off, dug his heals in and refused to use it any longe...

He was on Dilantin - seizure disorder and Requip before finally being diagnosed with OSA. He's telling me tonight he has feeling of being "[trapped". When he turned machine on it has a ramp feature to take it from 7.0 to 4.0. Tonight he said at 4.0 didn't feel like he was getting air. After much coa...

Feeling confined

My husband tried twice today. Made it about an hour but was awake during this time. Tonight he said he was going to lift to sleep. He had machine in with him. I figured it was a trick so I wouldn't know. Sure enough I got up to get some water he was asleep without cpap. I woke him up, told him to pu...

Re: Where does exhaled air go using a face mask?

By the way ramp was set at 45 minutes because respiratory thought perhaps that would give him enough time to get to sleep.

I told him tonight to come to bed an hour earlier since I noticed he WAS laying on sofa in loft.

Re: Events High when taking Ibuprofen and Higher on Tramadol

Tramadol is a sleeping pill which could slow your breathing. Ibuprofen (Motrin,Advil or any NSAI drugs) have a cardiac proponent. Why do you think Celexa and others in that class were taken off market? There's warning label on bottle regarding cardiac.

Re: Where does exhaled air go using a face mask?

Thanks to all who replied! I'm actually T.D.'s wife at Her wits end trying to get him to comply. Yesterday I got 15 minutes out of him using but keeps sitting up and down. Today I tried to get him to just lay on the bed. Up and down again. Last night he came to bed yawning (mind you during the day h...
