Whatever you do, DON'T ask what is considered the (insert word here) Rolls Royce, Mercedes Benz or Cadillac of CPAP machines........

Re: So what is considered the Rolls Royce of CPAP Machines
Wow, the Rolls Royce thing was an analogy. Lot's of bitter angry people on this site. Shame because there is some decent info here that people need. Don't need Facebook for sleep apnea. Color me gone.

So what is considered the Rolls Royce of CPAP Machines
I don't know if I "own" my machine or it is rented by my carrier (Aetna). What is the expected life of a CPAP machine (hours?) How many of you have lost weight since using CPAP? Love to hear recommendations on full face masks as well. Thanks to all for your input - greatly appreciated! Kind Regards,...

Software for a PR S1 Auto CPAP #550
What is available out there that I can use on a Mac? I guess I have been very bad about delving into my sleep apnea. Got diagnosed after a sleep study in January of 2015 and got the PR S1 Auto CPAP #550 shortly thereafter. Never even met the MD? The vendor came out and set up the machine based on se...

I always travel with a power strip as well as you never know what electrical plugs/configurations or locations they will be in when you stay at a hotel.

Re: Removing mask while asleep
I did this maybe 2-3 times when I started on CPAP and had no recollection of doing it. Hasn't happened in last 12-15 months. How long have you been on CPAP? If you are a newby I suspect you will outgrow this.

Re: What Significance does the 90% pressure reading
Thanks Pugsy. I have noticed recently that my AHI is lower when I wear a nasal dilator. Many nights my AHI is 0.4 to 0.9. One night I actually had a 0.0 AHI. How odd/rare is that? It has happened once in 20 months since I started using my CPAP machine.
I appreciate your input.

Trying to get the correct equipment in my profile
