to avoid damaging the mask. and, what 'damage' would that be? Thank you for following me around. Do you have a crush on me? I'm flattered! According to Resmed website "We recommend that you wash your face before bed, ideally with a pH neutral soap, to remove excess facial oils. You should also avoi...

Re: nasal pillows and zits

I was having the same issue first with the pillows and later with the full face mask breaking out around my nose and mouth. Now I'm being extra clean with both the mask and my face, using hypoallergenic anti-acne products morning and night. I also need to be really patient and let the product dry on...

You're right! Keeping an eye open for any changes now.

I want to thank you both for your input and being so polite. There are so many rude people in this forum that I'm getting really frustrated.

Re: Long time no see!!

Has anyone here who had a home study remember how long it took to get results? Might I get mine this coming week? My results were ready in only two days. Picked up the device on a Tuesday, turned it in on Wednesday, got a call from the sleep clinic that same Friday to make the appointment. Ty! If I...

LSAT is right, a month old cushion shouldn't make a difference, they usually last longer.
My guess is that they didn't measure you right and you're wearing the wrong mask size.

Re: New to CPAP (DreamStation)

Congrats on the new machine. I've been using mine for 2 monts and I'm feeling better since the third week or so. In my experience the sore nose is normal and it lasts for a few days, while you get used to the pillows. Some moisturizer or vaseline during the day (not at night) should help it feel bet...

Benefits so far...

Two onths into using my machine and I'm already feeling some changes. Chronic pain condition is improving and I don't feel exhausted by noon, not sure if I owe it all to my little machine but that's my guess. I thought that is already an improvement in my quality of life but I'd like to know whay lo...

Re: newbie can't breathe

It's also a lie that "once you fall asleep" the machine would do what has to do. There are several settings like RAMP, automatic starting or EPR that can be changed to make the air flow more comfortable and easier for you to fall asleep. that makes no sense. you start off talking about 'after you'r...

Re: I have reason to believe I have Sleepapnea.

It might be the case. If you already have anxiety issues the apnea might make them worse, making you do things like following weird routines before bed and waking up to eat. This makes studies in lab highly stressful. I know I was happy to have it at home for that reason. The only thing that I worri...

Re: CHEATING ON A SLEEP STUDY

The only way I can think of is doing an "at home" test. There's no way for them to tell if you were really asleep as long as you keep still most of the night....but then you'll probably fall asleep if you do keep still.

Re: Autopap for nasal congestion

For 11 years now I have been having sleep issues because of nasal congestion. I can't use a full face mask. If I switch to an AUTOPAP will that help "blast" through my congestion and allow me to sleep better? I seriously doubt that'll make any difference. It didn't blast through mine for sure...too...

Re: This is probably a dumb question

3. You need to change the card morning and night as you say. Why? Be aware that, technically we're not supposed to fiddle with the clinical settings Reference? Why? Cause some doctors want to see your card and upload it to your file. Mine does. I have to go to the sleep clinic every 6 months and br...

Re: This is probably a dumb question

Ok, I apologize for starting a new thread. I'm used to a much different posting style on other message boards. My husband is saying he can't breathe with the mask on. I think he is panicking about yesterday. He woke up after 2 hours gasping for air. I raised the pressure to 7 and turned off the ram...
