Need help with the Philips DreamMapper app
The app captures nightly cpap data on my Dreamstation machine. It gives me a nightly AHI number, along with the details making up that number. Last night as an example, it gave me the following info: AHI = 4.7 Total Clear Airway Apneas = 9 Total Obstructive Apneas = 3 Total Hypopneas = 26. I need in...

Re: Do I actually have sleep apnea?
To me, the question that matters is not so much, "Do I actually have sleep apnea?" The important question is, "How much better (and longer) could my life be if I used a PAP machine?" In my opinion, concentrating on a feared diagnosis can be concentrating on the negative; whereas, concentrating on t...

Re: Do I actually have sleep apnea?
I still wasn't convinced. I asked the Sleep Doctor what % of sleep study patients are diagnosed with sleep apnea. He told me that only a few DON'T show sleep apnea issues. That made me more skeptical. if you think about it, that's pretty stupid. they don't send everybody for a sleep test, only thos...

Re: Do I actually have sleep apnea?
I am kind of in the same boat. I really didn't feel like I was having any sleep issues. My wife said I snored once in awhile, usually when I had a headcold or nasal congestion. Then I was diagnosed with Afib and the cardiologist sent me for a sleep study. My AHI during the study was 26, which they s...

Re: Nuance Pro - need help please
I think that the white part that you see inside the hose that is causing the problem is a part of the DreamWear mask. I have the DreamWear and I just went to look at the part that sticks in the hose and it's white and it slides off the clear elbow. I think it has come off the DreamWear and got stuc...

Re: Nuance Pro - need help please
Did that short hose come with the mask? I don't see it in the Philips literature. Have you tried removing it from the mask and then attaching the machine hose? http://www.theanswer.philips.com/documents/PR_NuanceBrochure-SinglePages.pdf Yes, the short hose comes attached to the Nuance Pro mask and ...

Nuance Pro - need help please
I am a new CPAP user. I have tried a few masks and decided to try the Nuance Pro from Philips Respironics. I have the Philips Respironics Dream Machine with the Humidifer and Heated Tube. I bought the Nuance Pro from Amazon. My only problem is I can't connect the Nuance Pro to the heated to connecto...
