Removing mask while asleep
I've been using a cpap for about 2 weeks now. I use the dreamwear mask and really like it overall. However, I've noticed the past few nights that I wake up and I've removed the mask (SH says usually between 30-60 mins). I have no recollection of removing it, but I wake up and realize it's off and pu...

Re: Dream Station
I really like my DreamStation (I've only had it a few days), but it is a very different experience than the machine they used for my titration. Other than some of the things Pugsy suggested, maybe consider a different type of mask? You could also look at the flex settings perhaps? Good luck!

Re: Heated tubing for PR Dreamstation
That's what I thought. I'm doing okay without it, but if insurance pays for it, I might as well have it and see if it makes things more comfortable. Thanks!

Heated tubing for PR Dreamstation
Hi all, I've been using my PR Dreamstation for almost a week. When the tech set me up, she suggested that I ask for a heated tube (they apparently don't give them by default). When I called my provider, they said that my insurance would cover it the same as a regular tube, so I asked if I could swit...

Re: CAs recorded by CPAP
One more question - my CPAP is over-counting events (which I understand is pretty common), so I'm trying to look through and understand what is and is not actually an event. Here's something that was marked as an apnea last night: http://i65.tinypic.com/358opk5.png Is this actually an apnea as far a...

Re: CAs recorded by CPAP
Got it! I just wanted to make sure it wasn't going to do something weird tonight. I didn't notice in my original screenshot that my first nap came up as 7/7, so I think you've explained it! Thanks!

Re: CAs recorded by CPAP
Thanks! One more question - how does PR Dreamstation Auto account for naps? I took a nap this morning (really to get the rest of the 8 hours I typically get, since the titration threw off my schedule), and then another short nap this afternoon like normal. On my CPAP, Dream Mapper, and in SH, these ...

CAs recorded by CPAP
I had my titration last night, and I received my new CPAP (Dreamstation Auto) this morning. Didn't get a ton of sleep last night, so I decided to take a nap this morning and give my new machine a whirl. When I woke up, I of course imported my data into SleepyHead, and I was a little surprised to see...

Re: jaw pain and other issue and hardly sleeping
I haven't started CPAP therapy (I get my CPAP tomorrow!), but I've had severe TMJ and jaw problems since I was a teen, necessitating surgery to fix the problem. I've had numerous dental appliances to help with clinching and proper jaw alignment, and I can tell you that they are very different than a...
