Re: Bumps in the Road After a Smooth Patch :(
Thanks, Pugsy does that pressure range of 13-16 still look appropriate to you?

Re: Bumps in the Road After a Smooth Patch :(
Thanks robysue, yes I believe I was in and out of sleep around 6-6:30am. Since adopting the CPAP about a year ago, it's rare for me to sleep past 6:30. No seasonal allergies.

Re: Bumps in the Road After a Smooth Patch :(
Thanks guys. Pugsy, I am putting the two graphs you requested below. To answer some of your questions: Not sure about whether OSA is worse on back or in REM. I suspect it would be on the back however. No medications No other changes really (aside from gaining about 20 pounds of weight over the past ...

Bumps in the Road After a Smooth Patch :(
Hi guys, I seem to be hitting some bumps in my therapy after about a year of good results. During most of that time, I saw an AHI range of 1.5 to 3.0 at pressures of 12 to 15. This spring, I began to feel a little more tired during the day and saw more variability in the AHI. This seems to have gott...

Re: What Happened!?!? Evil chinstrap????
Thanks Pugsy - how would you decide whether or not the mouth breathing was a problem? Would it be whether it woke you up? Would it be whether the leak rate on SleepyHead was above some sort of critical level? Would it be the machine trying to climb above your ceiling pressure level? Thanks for any i...

Re: What Happened!?!? Evil chinstrap????
Thank you Pugsy & Palerider. Had no idea a chinstrap could exacerbate air flow problems like this. As far as the occasional mouth breathing, it doesn't seem to be resulting in a problem w the AHI or other data, so I should probably chill out about it. I do tend to clench my teeth a lot however, so I...

Re: What Happened!?!? Evil chinstrap????
Thanks. One follow up - how concerned should I be in general about occasional mouth breathing that does not result in leak rates that are very high, and does not seem to impact the CPAP's ability to respond to and manage pressure well?

Re: What Happened!?!? Evil chinstrap????
Thanks that's really interesting. Does that jaw movement tie in to the flow limit numbers too?

What Happened!?!? Evil chinstrap????
I've been pretty happy with my numbers over the past month, with AHIs in the 1.0-2.5 range. Over the past few days, however, I've noticed a little more mouth leaking at night, with charts similar to this one: http://i.imgur.com/z4RbVWil.png So last night I decided to try wearing a velcro chinstrap t...

Re: Please help newbie making 2nd attempt!
Thanks Pugsy, do you think that using an over the counter mouth guard could cause my tongue or jaw to shift a little bit, and that this would actually drive down the # of OA in any given night? I can experiment by skipping the mouth guard one night, and seeing if the # OAs goes up I guess.
