Philips Dreamstation >>>> DME Starting to Stress Me Out!

Hey guys, My mom just got a Philips DS through United Health and Medicaid. I'm assuming it was covered it full because she didn't pay anything out of pocket, but when I went over to her house earlier this evening to help set up her machine, some of the menus were locked. My mom also wanted a Mirage ...

Re: Out of Network Auth ~ Help

I've used Lincare for almost 2 yrs. My local office has a very good RT. The rest of the staff is incompetent at best. I've learned to only deal with the RT. He has even told me to ask for him. When I ordered supplies through the other staff, I either get the wrong items, or the order doesn't even g...

Re: Out of Network Auth ~ Help

Why even bother with either the insurance or the DME? The cost to your health in terms of extended use of an inadequate mask and more importantly, the stress, time, and effort of dealing with that failed system will cost you more in the long run. Get your masks online (like the forum sponsor). You ...

Re: Out of Network Auth ~ Help

The 30 day mask exchange program is up to the DME. The insurance has nothing to do with it. Some DME's don't even allow the 30 days... http://www.cpaptalk.com/viewtopic/t113085/Testing-a-new-mask.html When I called my insurance they said, it was probably something that Lincare imposes. Which is fin...

Out of Network Auth ~ Help

Lincare is being difficult to work with — again. So after waiting a month to get my new cpap "for her" machine (this was after they gave me a used one and tried to pass it off as new) it finally came in on July 14, 2016. When I went to pick up my machine my Lincare RT told me my insurance gives me 3...

SD Card Not Recording

So I finally got my Resmed Airsense AutoSet "For Her" machine on Thursday. I've used the machine 3x because I'm having issues with finding the right mask. Anyways, when I download the SD card to my computer, Sleepyhead is only showing data for the first night I used the machine. July 14, 2006 I used...

Do all CPAP's that record data use SD Cards?

Last night I remembered that I have CPAP that I got a few years ago. It's a Resmed AutoSet 36005A, Humidifier 36900A. I think I used it for 30 mins and didn't like the mask so I packed it up and put it away. At the time, I didn't understand the importance of CPAP therapy. I'm a little alarmed that I...

Re: Is there a way to get a DME (Lincare) to order non formulary

This was the only Rx is my file. http://i.imgur.com/QR4MGMll.jpg If you notice this is a form from AHP, which is the first DME I tried but they weren't in my network. So, I called my insurance and found Lincare, called sleep doctor's office and told them I needed the Rx faxed to Lincare, because I'm...

Re: Is there a way to get a DME (Lincare) to order non formulary

I didn't know anything about a DWO. I thought a DWO was the same thing as the Rx (the kind written by hand on a Rx pad). I googled DWO and I've seen DWOs before. My NP gives them to me when they're having computer problems and I need to take it to the pharmacy in person to get the medicine. So it's ...

Re: Is there a way to get a DME (Lincare) to order non formulary

You really need to get a copy of your prescription/order. Most have a complete list of all the supplies that go with your machine. So they are probably already approved and covered by your ins. if your order is complete and correct. You would understand what is going on much better after you see yo...

Re: Is there a way to get a DME (Lincare) to order non formulary

Call Lincare Dist Manager, ask HER to order the "For Her" for you. And do they have a loaner you can pick up today till your "For Her" arrives. There should be no problem because it is the same ins. code as the machine they originally gave you. Your prescription is also called an "order" for medica...

Re: Does anyone actually like there DME?

I love Edgepark...I want to marry them. I never have to lift a finger with them.

Aerocare/Express Medical I hate with the heat of a thousand suns.

Lincare...it's a damaged relationship, but I'm trying to get back with them.
