Re: Aerophagia problems on Cpap auto
You might not have needed that full jump to 9 cm to reduce those hyponeas. Might have gotten by with less and not put yourself through all this discomfort. For some people there is sort of a line in the sand where they don't have any aerophagia issues and just above that line they have serious aero...

Re: Aerophagia problems on Cpap auto
Why such a big jump from 6 to 9...did the aerphagia start with the jump to 9. Maybe a smaller jump would have done a similar job and not cause the belly issues. Are you using the available software to evaluate the results? Given a choice between AHI of 3 and no aerophagia issues...and AHI of 0 with...

Re: Aerophagia problems on Cpap auto
Worth trying the exhale relief to see if it helps. The amount of reduction during exhale in Respironics machines is flow based and not a per cm reduction as with the ResMed machines. This means if you breath more forcefully you are likely to get maximum reduction but if you tend to breathe rather s...

Re: First night on cpap!
What about the stuff that isn't included in the AHI? Like, Flow limitations or RERAs or snores....seeing very many of those things? And how is your sleep quality? Sleeping soundly or waking often? An AHI of 0.0 doesn't guarantee anything but a nice math score. While nice math scores are nice to see...

Re: First night on cpap!
so I raised it to 8 the past 2 nights, just left the max at 20. Went from a 3.3-3.8 AHI to a 1.9 17 Hypopneas and 1 obstr last night not bad, not bad, probably need to go to 9... but a 1.9 is in the acceptable range, as far as my own standards go. You think maybe going up to 9 would lower the hypop...

Re: First night on cpap!
You don't think the Cpap would be causing Hyponeas do you? And it doesn't mean I need a bipap or anything else right?Julie wrote:Turn it to 7 or 8 and get rid of the hypopneas. Don't be so cautious about 1/2 a cm - you're still at very low pressure.
Sorry still learning as I go.

Re: has anyone done at home sleep study's?
I did mine at home. Mine had the electrodes that come out of two boxes on the chest and hook up to parts of the body. It also had an oxygen monitor that was on my wrist that connected to my finger. I didn't qualify for an in-lab study because insurance said that I didn't have any co-morbidity issue...

Re: Does anyone actually like there DME?
Yeah I did compare with the prices on cpap.com but there pretty much the same believe it or not. The DME has a contract with my insurance company so they DME said it was a fixed contracted price on my machine. +1 He also admitting to me yesterday he is also a CPAP user Admitted? He should brag abou...

Re: Does anyone actually like there DME?

I like the USERID. Hey ChicagoGranny Yeah I did compare with the prices on cpap.com but there pretty ...
