Re: Another ResMed APAP brick just released

do you think they are targeting a certain set of users??? possibly truck drivers??? (or others I don't know about) All they have to report is hours of usage for compliance to keep their CDL. They don't have to report all that other stuff. So why buy a machine with all the bells & whistles, when it's...

Re: ?difference between Resmed S9 Autoset/S9 Escape Auto

I was looking at the cpap assistance program offered by the American Sleep Apnea Association, they confirmed it is a S9 autoset, so for $100 *donation* I got it, humidifer, filters, memory card, tubing and Quattro FX mask.

Hope I did ok???

I definitely did not want the S8 (with no humidifier).

Re: ?difference between Resmed S9 Autoset/S9 Escape Auto

I knew I should have come here first.

Spent hours looking online trying to make comparisons of the different models,
now I have a headache!!!

if it's not an autoset, I'm not getting it.

THANK YOU!!!

***THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH*** chronic nasal congestion issues YES!!! I would probably need a medium or large tell me if this would work... we have DreamMapper software, I use it along with Sleepyhead. Re: can I use hubby's machine to test myself for sleep apnea

Thank you all for the responses. A lot of what you all said are part of my decision process. We do not have a second machine, it's on our *wish list*.(Unfortunately we live paycheck to paycheck, money is tight) But I am currently looking. "best to do it on a weekend or a time when he isn't using it"...

can I use hubby's machine to test myself for sleep apnea

this morning I woke up with my usual morning headache and complained, again, to my husband about it. He thinks I should get tested for sleep apnea because he hears me snoring/stop breathing during the night. To save money, could I use his machine for a night or two and check sleepyhead reports for m...

oximeter CMS50D+, not a very tight fit...

When hubby did his home study test, his Min. Sp02 Desat. = 78% so I ordered an oximeter CMS50D+, it arrived yesterday. I played with it some this morning, and I'm not sure it has a "snug" enough fit for it to stay on for several hours while he is sleeping. Any suggestions??? Also, should the oximete...

Hubby's SleepyHead report for last night - increased min

What do you think??? We've been keeping his minimum at 8 for a while, last night he agreed to let me bump it up to 9. (so I set the ramp at 8 for 5 minutes). I am amazed at how well he is doing so soon. He started APAP therapy on June 27, his AHI has stayed below 2.04, several times below 1.00 Also,...
