Re: Help, red blood cell count up, no energy, long time CPAP user
I'd ask to recheck your CBC to see if your RBCs came down enough.

Re: Help, red blood cell count up, no energy, long time CPAP user
Sometime during this, my doctor did blood work, complaining about being tired. My blood count ( CBC ) shows my red blood count is high told me to donate blood to get it down told me to stop my testosterone therapy and then recheck blood. Doctor said red blood count up from a combination of testoste...

Re: 1 year fight with cpap supplier--Is this correct?!
Is Rotech the only supplier Cigna has a contract with? Ask your Cigna rep if you can get a machine from another supplier and tell Rotech they can have their machine back due to their billing errors. I had my Phillips machine for around 7 years too and I stopped using it due to the recall. I had medi...

No you didn't. That's my opinion of what will happen to Phillips or at least the CPAP branch of it. They've lost customer trust now. I for one will not go back to using a Phillips machine for sure.

Re: Phillips / Philips Respironics recent recall notice discussion thread
I suspect, like me, a lot of people have replaced their Phillips machines with a different brand. Why don't they offer a refund, or at least a partial refund, instead. They would get out from behind the backlog and people would be better satisfied. They could prorate the refund based on age of the o...

Re: (Another) recall for Philips - This Time Dreamwear Masks
It's not only Phillips that uses magnets in their masks. My ResMed F30 uses magnets too. I don't have a pacemaker or the other devices mentioned. I have a few tooth fillings and a titanium knee replacement. I don't think the fillings are impacted and I'll make sure not to use the mask on my knee so ...

Re: Hello, thank you and a couple questions
I also have secondary polycythemia due to sleep apnea. The CPAP helps keep me in normal range and If blood tests show it's elevated the hematologist suggested donating blood. Helps me and a person in need too. I bought an EMAY brand recording oximeter on Amazon. The batteries only last 3 nights befo...

Re: Trying to decide on a new machine
My Phillips DreamStation is over 5 y/o too. I stopped using it and waited for a replacement. Then I started having trouble breathing and was told to use the machine with an inline filter. Then I was put on oxygen and found out I have asthma. I asked my pulmonary doctor for a new prescription for a R...

Re: Bad and good.- getting sinues infection/ mucus a LOT
I complained to my pulmonary doctor that my nose kept running once I started on oxygen. She told me I needed to add a humidifier to the oxygen concentrator because my body was trying to compensate for the oxygen flow drying out my sinuses. It helped a lot. I got off the oxygen after a few months so ...

Re: Prepping for the next outage
I think the only way I would need this would be if I had to evacuate for a hurricane and had to sleep in my SUV along with my 8 small dogs. I have no interest in camping otherwise.

Re: Prepping for the next outage
The outlet in the Jeep is an inverter. From a few minutes of research it looks like the battery might die using a cpap all night.

My Jeep Grand Cherokee has a regular house outlet and several cigarette lighter plugins, and USB connections. Any reason I couldn't plug my AirSense 11 into the Jeep outlet?

Re: Machine causing insomnia
You've never uploaded an OSCAR report for anyone to help you. Since your goal all along was to have surgery you might want to look for a different support group.
