I was originally diagnosed with severe OA and kept complaining to the Doctor that I didn't feel well. After 10 years of complaining, I was switched from Cpap to Bipap SV. I recently discovered sleepyhead and have been checking my results nightly with my ASV machine. I still have my Cpap machine and ...
I want to thank everyone for their input! I'm new to ASV and have been tweeking the machine a bit. I'm wondering if anyone has experience with the Respironics Bipap SV? Do my numbers look good, or should I keep working with my settings? I posted last night's results and I got up a couple of times. ...

I'm perplexed. I was originally diagnosed with severe obstructive SA and the original pressure on cpap was 16cm. I recently had an overnight sleep study and my Doctor decided to change from cpap to a Respironics Bipap SV . I wonder if I'm on correct machine for my type of Apnea? I posted a couple of...
I agree! keep looking up. I wanted to let you know that I went over the last couple weeks of data and decided to go with the settings I had the best results with. I will use this as a baseline for awhile unless you see a reason for more adjustments. Last night was the lowest ahi yet and I actually s...
Hi Pugsy. yes, my overnight study was with Cpap with a starting pressure of 10cm per Doc's orders. I was diagnosed with severe apnea in 2006 via home study(that's all insurance would pay for). The original prescription was for CPAP set at 16 centimeter. Since my original diagnosis, I've been through...
Hi Sleeprider, thanks for your suggestion! I'm new to the ASV world and am hoping to find that sweet spot someday. I believe I was originally misdiagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea because it seems my apneas are more central than OA. I looked at some of my nights on APAP and noticed that their we...

Here are the full snaps of my night with BPM off as well as last night's data. I'm wondering why last night showed no OA? My starting epap was 7 with 4 PS. Thanks for your input. I'm just trying to figure out why I've been miserable for the last 10 years. I've been on an apap until a couple of weeks ago and am new to bipap sv. I'm waking even more frequently than when I was on cpap, but now I'm dreaming like crazy and am waking up several times per nig...
Actually, I've gained weight. Here is the interpretation of my sleep study in March. Just thought about the fact that titration started at 10cm and I didn't see any OA at that pressure. With lower pressure settings on the bipap sv, I noticed that the Epap pressure doesn't go over 8cm. I'm still perp...
I didn't take a break from apap before having my sleep study. Now I'm wondering if my hypothyroid was causing apnea and now that my levels are normal, perhaps I don't even need cpap anymore. I'm perplexed!
