Re: Particles in Humidifier Resmed Airsence 10
Sue Caption Kirk for recommending it to you. Ozone turns the foam into a sticky mush.

If it's under warranty get it replaced. It's the blower going bad.

Re: Resmed Airsense 10 issue
That has to be from the blower housing. When I replace an Air10 blower I replace the blower & housing all as one part. There isn't anything that looks like that external of the blower.

Re: Resmed says SoClean is bad
My opinion is to use it on disposals if you are worried about germs. Don't use it on the PAP's at all. I have a Respironics Dreamstation blower chamber the customer used ozone every day on, it turned the foam to a sticky tar like substance. Much like the person ordering a 1/4 pounder with cheese & a...

Re: Manufacturers respond to SoClean inquiry
I asked tech support about a Respironics Dreamstation I had a foam issue with. They won't say yes or no, just follow their recommendation for cleaning.

Re: Particles in Humidifier Resmed Airsence 10
I have seen this many times in repairing CPAP's. I have a dreamstation blower chamber on my desk at the moment the same way. Something is deteriorating the foam; ozone, air freshener, ???

Blower is going. It's going to have to be replaced, it won't get any better.

Re: New CPAP machines humidifiers are not warm enough
Does you CPAP allow you to go to manual mode, if so turn it on and crank up the heat. Older CPAP humidifiers were just heating plates were the setting just adjusted the cycle time the voltage was on. New machines look at the room humidity, temp, and flow then adjust for what it thinks you need.

Re: DME questioned manufacturer's commitment to warranty - justified?
I have never had any issues with ResMed and warranty. BUT they have changed there return policy. Before both Respironics & ResMed you could contact them and say you have a broken unit, they would just send you a replacement along with a return label for the broken unit. ResMed went to; you send in y...

There is one difference in the circuit board but it has to do with age and different pressure sensors.

If nobody has already said it, that error message is just a clock, there is nothing wrong with the PAP.

Re: Problem with New Resmed Airsense 10
A block tubing with an 1/8" hole is used during calibration on the CPAP. But you want to see if the pressures and flow remain stable as the unit is running at a steady state. If the calibration is off it can cause the bouncing you are talking about.
