The place where I purchased my CPAP and mask from sells the filters for $9 for 2 and shipping is $10 !!! with no discount for bulk buying. Just to summarize after testing the machine ran for 90 mins on the UPS which should see me through 99% of blackouts
The unit is locally made and costs $70 US and for the money it does appear to be the ideal solution

I found that making a loop with wide regular elastic and slipping it over my full face mask stops any leaks . I use 2 pieces, works like a charm

Thanks guys, Interesting thread. I only bought up the topic because I have a spare UPS.
What im going to do is hook it up to a spare cpap and set a timer with it running and see how many hours I get out of it.
Since outages here are nearly always under 1 hour I think it will be a good solution
