Re: Was Getting Better APAP Results....Now Insomnia

robysue...Thank you very much for your responses. I will try to answer your questions as best as I can. I'm not quite sure what happened last night but I was able to sleep from about 1030PM to 630AM with only a few minor breaks in between. I am not sure if it was due to the fact that I stopped takin...

Not 3 weeks, 3 DAYS, which is certainly not going to do it. I'm on 4 months and still adjusting.

Re: Was Getting Better APAP Results....Now Insomnia

Are you taking any new meds or supplements that could cause sleep disruption? Are you on any old meds that could need the dosage adjusted after sleeping better? I've been on Amlodipine Besylate (5mg) and Valsartan /hctz (320/25) and my BP has been coming down as of late. I researched the Amlodipine...

Those gray bars mean you were in large leak during that time.
Thank you Pugsy. . I thought so, but wasn't sure.

Was Getting Better APAP Results....Now Insomnia

I am trying to clear the brain fog long enough to get a somewhat coherent post on here. I have gotten 1-2 hours sleep per night for the last couple nights and it's taking it's toll on me. Here's the short of it. Went to the Sleep Doc 1 1/2 weeks ago and she gradually had me adjust APAP pressures fro...

She said she has fibromyalgia in her original post.

Re: Why am I doing this?

It was a joke. Just a joke and only a joke. Pale rider has gone way above and beyond to help me on this and it is much appreciated. No, no harm done. . This is an awesome forum for those of us that need help. These people are more knowledgeable than many of the docs out there It took me a little wh...

bluetrout,

Why would you get sarcastic with people who you voluntarily requested help from and who are here to help you? You've done this on previous posts as well.

I'm new here, but by following their directions to the letter using IMGUR, these people can help you. Your photobucket images are not working. You won't get burned out if you just do as they suggest. Use the preview button so you can see exactly what will be posted beforehand.

Re: Trying CPAP on my own again

This is hugely psychological for me, and I'm trying to use CBT techniques to help as well (I've used that with my insomnia to very good effect) Arlene1963, What CBT techniques did you use and do you find them helpful? I have similar experiences to you and believe a good part of my difficulties with...

Re: I'm finally starting to sleep, but...

I'm finally starting to get used to this mask and to be able to fall asleep and stay asleep without a sleeping pill! However, I am still having a few problems. First, for some reason I am still not waking up feeling refreshed. I guess I just thought that I would see and feel a big difference and I ...

Re: Tweaking Settings

First, it sounds like you've got a good sleep doc there that wants to work with you to optimize your therapy - that's a keeper! And even better that he's comfortable with having you make the changes rather than sending directions to a DME to make them remotely. It took awhile, but this doctor is de...

Tweaking Settings

After meeting with a new Sleep Doc last Friday they suggested I increase the Min pressure from 8cm to 9cm to 10cm. I did that the last two nights and have slept the longest with the mask that I have been able to in the almost 4 months I've been on it. My concern is the amount of events I experienced...

Re: Sleepio for Insomnia

I tried it, before I found out I have sleep apnea. The nice thing about the program is that there's an online forum so users can support each other and answer any questions new users might have, much like here on CPAPTalk. Sleepio is essentially a six-week program that teaches you about good sleep ...
