Re: I'm at a loss and need help. Congestion/Dryness issues

P.S. If your mouth gets dry your mouth may drop open when your sleeping. You may need a chin strap to keep your mouth closed. You might post another question about what chin straps others like best. I'm still trying to find the right one. Good luck.

Re: I'm at a loss and need help. Congestion/Dryness issues

I would recommend seeing an ENT Doctor. You could have excess Turbinate tissue in your nose and/or a deviated septum. I had this problem and always felt congested and nothing helped until I saw an ENT Doctor. I had surgery and that corrected the problem. My nostrils have gotten very sore from my nas...

Central sleep apnea and pressure settiings on ASV Machine

I am at my wits end. I had my ASV titration study April 14. I haven't been able to get my ASV machine yet because my pressure apparently needs to be higher than the S-9 will program. I do not know what my pressure is supposed to be. I have sent a message to my Doctor through the patient portal to as...

Re: Aromatherapy for insomnia.

You should never put aromatherapy oils directly on your skin due to it causing burning and other reactions like you had. The place you got your oil from should have sent you instructions on how to use it. They need to be diluted with a ''carrier'' oil such as grapeseed, almond, etc. That way the aro...

Re: Mirtazapine (Remeron) 15mg for sleep apnea?

I have had OSA/CSA for 12+ years. I took Remeron (mertazapine) to help me sleep, which it did, but the MD NEVER gave it to me to treat OSA. I don't even know how that would be possible. It may sound strange but 15 mg works better for sleep than 30 mg. I'm not sure why the lower dose works better but...

Re: Anyone with Fibromyalgia and sleep APNEA?

I have had fibromyalgia since at least 1990. The only mask I can tolerate are nasal pillows. The head gear is Res Med and has 2 thin elastic straps. One goes over the top of your head and the other goes around the back of your head. It is not adjustable and isn't tight. The part that rests on your f...

Re: Deviated Septum Surgery-"Nose Job"

I had to have the same thing about 2 years ago. Your Dr should use a splint in your nose that is small and sutured in place at the bottom of it. You will probably have some kind of gauze because your nose will drain a small amount for just a few days. It should NOT be packed tightly. The splint may ...

Re: All hours sleeping not being acreditted.

I have a PR BiPAP Pro Bi-flex System One and it has started to not record all my sleep time for about 6 weeks or so. I go to bed about 12:30 am and wake up about 8:30am. I do have to get up once or twice a night to let my older dog outside. I don't know if turning it off twice triggers it to not rec...
