Re: Leak Rates
Thanks for the information. As always this group is full of great information. Regardless of the leak it would seem the search for a new mask is still on. This new mask digs into my nose. Almost feels like it's causing bruising. Leaves my nose sore with a huge red area around it. This therapy is goi...

Re: Leak Rates
Thanks Sheriff, So somewhere I need to find a solution for the leak I would assume? I'm fairly new to mask fitting so I guess it could be operator error? The hospital did a mask fit for both masks I've had, but they go off of the nice smiley face on the machine which says it's good so I'm not sure i...

Leak Rates
Now that I'm getting fairly familiar with the treatment, I've been looking at what I can do to make it better. One thing I notice on the charts is Leak data. Now there seems to be a lot of information out there, but I think the issue may be my interpretation of it, or failure there of. My S9 Elite r...

Re: First power outage
You've just mentioned my biggest issue/fear with the system. Stuck with a mask on with no air going to it. Sure it has a small hole to still breath through, but will it work?

Re: Expiratory Pressure Relief confusion - newbie
On my Elite S9 I have EPR set at 2 which helps a lot. There is a huge difference between on and off, but I would suggest that you only use it till you get used to the machine. I will be looking at turning mine off in a while as I'm fairly used to the pressure by now.

Re: New - Introduction
Expect a few months of getting used to your equipment and tweaking your settings to maximize your treatment. Many seem to think all they have to do is plug in the machine and they are going to immediately feel better. It takes work on the user's part to get the most out of the treatment. +1 from me...

Re: New CPAP therapy not working right
I'll spare everyone another huge chart for last night, but I got my score down to 3.1 last night! Who says I'm not competitive?! Now saying that I got a low score may be a false statement as all I did was sleep, but hopefully they continue this way. Still adapting to the treatment, and as I found ou...

Re: New User Exhausted Next Day
Hello, I'm new to the CPAP world this will be my third night on my machine. Yesterday and today I was/am exhausted, more than without the machine. I will keep using it because I know (hope) that eventually the treatment will work. I'm curious as to other people's experiences when they started. I di...

Re: New CPAP therapy not working right
Ok, new mask, new Humidifier, and I got this for yesterdays sleep. Pleas ignore from about 5:20 onwards as I was awake and fiddling with the machine. Best night sleep so far though. http://i.imgur.com/dWhUYZXl.png http://i.imgur.com/dWhUYZX.png imgur doesn't seem to have a thumbnail option anymore a...

Re: New CPAP therapy not working right
All good ideas and information. Thanks a lot. I managed to get the data off of the CPAP machine into sleepyhead. My next goal is how to get it uploaded for everyone , and even try to comprehend it all. Here you go: You've already got Sleepyhead but for others. Here’s the link on where to get free S...

Re: New CPAP therapy not working right
Good Morning! or is it? New night, new mask, and new humidifier. I guess it's too early to suggest it's not right yet as it may take a few nights to get used to the new set up, that and the humidity level may still be tool low at 3. Looks like it can go up to 6 so I may go 3.5 or 4 tonight. I am als...

Re: New CPAP therapy not working right
Thank you again to everyone for your help. I appreciate the suggestions and guidance from you all. Just returned from the Hospital. First thing I learned when I was at my appointment was this.....You can't talk with 10.2 pressure being blasted at you. It's a shame that the sleep clinic has to share ...

I'm not sure what it all means, but to me something just isn't right. Leaky mask, dry mouth, or just not sure if I'm giving it enough time.

Re: New CPAP therapy not working right
OK, a couple of updates. I've got sleepyhead working, and downloaded the information. The problem is there is too much to fit onto one screen. Which bits should I include in a screenshot? Also my Resmed S9 doesn't seem to record sleep right. It shows I slept for about 1 minute out of 5 hours, yet I ...

Re: New and waiting and worried.
New here myself, and knowing what AHI you are doesn't help. I was "lucky" enough not to know until I had my machine so I continued as I always had until then. If I had known I was 50, or in your case 80 it would have made the situation worse. Ignorance is bliss as some may say. I'm not sure what lev...
