Re: What is the best travel PAP with humificiation setup for me?
Unfortunately the laws of physics pretty much set how much energy is required to vaporize water, and it's more power than the machine draws, 20 to 30 watts continuous. A heated hose s less than half that, the machine alone is only 5 to 10 watts. You can try putting water in the chamber but turn off ...

Re: ResMed AirSense Mini lifespan
I can't speak for the Mini, I've never had one. The blower is the same as the S11 so it should last a long time, 20K hours or so. I can speak about travel machines however. Before I retired I traveled extensively for business. During that time (20 years) I had 6 machines. The 3 I traveled with all f...

Re: New Airsense 10 sometimes missing mask-on hours
Have you checked that the machine is set to the correct time? especially am/pm? Resmed starts a new day at noon so if am and pm are swapped it will start a new day at midnight rather than noon. This can also be an issue for late sleepers who arise after noon. If the time is correct I'd probably try ...

Re: Struggling to keep CPAP on the entire night
I had nasal obstructions (deviated septum and large turbinates) and had surgery. It helped quite a bit but didn't cure the sinus swelling. I breath better but not perfectly. I tried both Flonase and Azelastine, neither did much, but over the counter capsaicin nasal spray works pretty well for me bet...

Re: Argh! The "Joys" of a New Machine
Expensive, but there are automatic refill devices: google CSpring MK3 Automatic CPAP Refilling System. I've seen people online who have made their own, the simplest use a rodent water bottle. I still have an Aircurve 10 which holds enough water, the smaller reservoir on the 11 is a common complaint....

Re: position data/sensor in OSCAR?
While it doesn't integrate with OSCAR, a wildlife camera can be effective. Some of them put the time in the video, but if not just put a digital clock beside the bed. You can fast forward through the video and note the times you change position to cross reference to OSCAR.

Re: fatigue with cpap for many years
Your situation is obviously different than mine, that's the trouble with only having experience with one person.... I've attached a sample of what I get with user 1, which here is set for 60% for 10 Seconds, so less sensitive than what I had said. What you can see is I get a UF 1 flag, followed by a...

Re: fatigue with cpap for many years
It would be interesting to see a zoomed in view around 22:50. Also, move up the mask pressure graph so that its next to the flow rate graph. You can click and drag it, or you can double click both to pin them. Using ASV Auto would allow the EPAP to be lower most of the time which could reduce the ma...

Re: fatigue with cpap for many years
I see you have user defined events set up, and 2 gets triggered regularly. What are your settings for these? I set these to catch events that are just shy of what would be reported by the machine to catch events that could be causing arousal's but aren't reported. I use 70% 10 Seconds for user 1. I ...

Re: Transcend Micro Auto Travel CPAP Machine
The increase in pressure, and the shape of the pressure curve were by direct observation with a manometer. But even by the graphs Z breath reduces the pressure swings but doesn't eliminate them. And I can definitely feel the pressure go up during exhale.

There should be a thread just for lab stories. I've had 3, 2 terrible and one pretty good.

Re: Pressure leaks and overall chart review
I have mouth breathing problems sometimes as well. A neck pillow works for me. There are soft ones, I use the Caldera Releaf and it works for me, although its too soft to fix mouth breathing in many people. Sometimes it's not enough for me either so I switch to a more rigid one, a cervical brace. Wi...

Re: Transcend Micro Auto Travel CPAP Machine
I don't directly know about the Transcend machine but I have similar experience with the Breas Z1 machine. It has 3 levels of pressure relief, none of which actually provide pressure reduction during exhale, in fact the pressure actually increases during exhale. In CPAP mode the pressure isn't at al...

Re: Resmed P30i mask, need help
To get the data from your machine you will need to install an SD data card (unless there is already one present). It doesn't have to be big, anything from 8 GB to 32 GB will work. The machine will record to the card and you can look at it with either OSCAR or Sleep HQ. Once you have that you can see...

Re: Resmed P30i mask, need help
I use the P30i as well as the N30i. I'm not sure what you mean by the little vent thing that you cut. Two thoughts. It would be worthwhile to either upload an OSCAR screenshot, or create a sleep HQ account so others can see what's going on. You might want to increase your minimum pressure, and or th...
