Re: How much is a set of home Sleep apnea kit?
When I switched from CPAP to Autopap, my doc had me set the settings going from 8 to 18, since this started 2 below my titration pressure of 10 as was 2 off the max of the machine. These setting have been fabulous. My sleep study AHI was 60, my straight CPAP was 20 now I am at about .7.

Re: No CPAP Supplies DME says under audit
I see that you are from TX. Medicare has been shutting down a lot of DME suppliers for fraud in TX&FL lately. While I do not know DME's specific situation that could be the case. I would get a new DME ASAP.

If your insurance company requires an authorization then the insurance company is also required to send you a letter saying that the authorization has been approved the day that the insurance company approves the DME's request for authorization. Your insurance company's online provider search tool w...

Re: Snoring while on CPAP
I know that my doc has told me I should come in for a reiteration if I start feeling tired on a regular basis and especially if I gain or loose more than 10lbs.

Re: anyone else have severe apnea?
I have severe apnea 62 events per hr. I was originally given a straight CPAP set at 10, however that only got my events down to 20 per hr. Doc than changed me to a Resmend S10 Autoset basically lets the machine totally auto adjust. Per the sleepy head data it spends most of the night at 10 or 11, bu...

Using CPAP on an Airplane
Hi, I was wondering what success people have had using a CPAP on an airplane? I have a long-haul overnight flight coming up. More specifically my questions are: 1) Where did you put the CPAP? 2) Was the standard 6 foot CPAP hose long enough to be effective? 3) Did EmPower with an adapter work to pow...

How Did you Try Different Masks?
Hi, I am a new CPAP users and I am having issues with my mask. I am, using the Amarma Full View. I hate the mask. It digs into my skin and also falls off in the middle of the night (after about 5 hrs or sleep). I have it adjusted as loose as I can still get a "happy face" on my CPAP. Basically I was...

Newbie Humidification Qeustion
I am a new CPAP users. I have pre-existing sinus issues. I want to turn the humidification up setting 6 of 8 on Resmed. I am loving the humidification with one caveat, I wake up once or twice per night, because the mask is full of condensation. CPAP is at bed level. Call home health company wanting ...
