Re: Will I have to shave my beard?
I have a beard and use CPAP. When I was using most masks, I had to keep my beard trimmed to get a good seal. HOWEVER, since I have been using the resmed airtouch F20 with the memory foam seal (as opposed to silicone), I have been able to grow my beard as long as I want and still get an excellent sea...

Re: Is AHI of 3 good enough?
When I first started using CPAP, I was getting 3-5 AHI and it was better. But as I am now 2 years into this, I am getting 0.4-2 most nights. Not sure why the diff. I think a lot of my apneas were happening at beginning of sleep and I took the ramp feature off. Anyway....I know I feel rested if my AH...

Re: First week of using AirFit F20 foam cushion - thumbs up!
I find that my cushions last beyond the recommended month use. I do use a cpap wipe to just clean up the mask in the morning. Eventually, the foam does get a bit softer (and dirtier)....then I switch. But I always order when my insurance allows, then I have backups just in case I want to switch earl...

Re: First week of using AirFit F20 foam cushion - thumbs up!
I also have had great success with the airtouch F20. It is my mask from now on. I used the quattro and regualr old F20 before and they work with no leaks.....but the airtouch is so much more comfortable with the memory foam. I like the feel better than silicone. Also, I have a full beard and have gr...

Re: Padacheek with facial stubble
I actually have been able to grow my beard out using the new Resmed airtouch F20 and no leaks. But I needed to add pad-a-cheeks to the sides and back of neck for comfort and so it didnt leave marks on my face.
But yes! The pad-a-cheek works great with facial hair.

Re: Full face masks: with and without the forehead part
I actually use two masks that work well for me. The Resmed Mirage Quattro (with forehead piece) and the new f20 (without). I like both masks well and I switch it up every once in awhile.....not entirely sure why lol But i like both masks. That being said, the forehead piece doesnt really bother me. ...

I have a full beard that I keep trimmed. I have had great success with both the Resmed Quattro and F20. Both give me a good seal.

Re: Finally got my AirSense 10 AutoSet
Congrats on your new machine! I also have the Resmed Autoset 10 and it does not have to be on to transmit the data. It does, however, take some time for the info to show up on their website. I usually check it when I get to work in the morning just to see what my AHI is. It should be there within an...

Irritation on back of neck
Hello again! I just got my new Resmed F20 mask and tried it out last night. It worked great. The only issues I am having (and did with other mask) is irritation from the headgear on the back of my neck. Especially nights I sweat... Does anyone have any suggestions for reducing this? Or something I c...

Re: Resmed F20 (new)
Airquotes, that is exactly why I wanted it. Glad to hear it doesn't have to be as tight. Although I love the quattro, by morning, it sometimes gets really uncomfortable on the back of neck with the headgear. I have it strapped tight! But it does work. Can't wait to get my new mask! Any day now!

Re: Resmed F20 (new)
Thank you for the replies. I started out with the f10 and had issues with leaking. The quattro has been awesome to me. I just hate the forehead thing. Hoping this one works well. It will be fun to try something new. When I started my CPAP, I was getting AHIs of 2-5. All of a sudden I am getting 0.4-...

Resmed F20 (new)
Hello, I have just ordered the new Resmed F20 airfit from my cpap supplier. I am comfortable wearing a medium for the Resmed Quattro. I have heard that the new mask runs bigger? Would a large in the F20 be like a medium in the quattro? Also, has anyone liked or not liked the mask? Thanks in advance ...

Re: Leaks! Frustrated!
Wow! Thanks so much, Pugsy. That makes me feel a lot better. I will read through your threads when I get home tonight. Overall, I would say the CPAP therapy has been really beneficial. I used to have reflux and IBS symptoms that have comepletely gone away. I sleep better of course. SO I am happy wit...

Re: Leaks! Frustrated!
Thanks, Pugsy. I do not ever wake due to the leaking. I just see it either from resmed (if its really bad) or sleepyhead. I had a really bad leak night the night before but last night wasnt bad. Anyway... My averages from sleepyhead are(last 30 days): Average leak rate: 11.72 % of time above threshh...
