Re: They Tell Me I Need This Machine
I haven't been around in quite some time. I've ended my CPAP use. I won't get in to it but I am doing fine. I think I may have been a victim of a sales pitch from local sleep center. I do however pop in here once and a while and I must say It's nice to see ckeith is back and having success with his ...

sleeprider/Pugsy Thank-You both
I think I will I will bump up my max pressure to 10.6 with EPR off. Do you think my min pressure is ok at 8.2
Cheers

Been raising pressure's, making it worse?
Good Morning, I've suspected my pressures were low as it seemed I was always maxing out and having mosty RERA's and Hypopneas and feeling like I needed more air. This was with pressures at or around 6.8-8.4 Auto. I have moved up to 8.2 - 10.4 Auto. Hoping to eliminate arousals that have been plaguin...

Re: Do I need more pressure????
Thank-You Pugsy and Julie! I think I am going to try and bump it 1 on minimum to 7.8 and max of 12.0, maybe I will leave the EPR at 1 for the time being. One of the hardiest things to do is resist the urge to change settings too soon. I was hoping for instant gratification but see that won't be the ...

Re: Do I need more pressure????
Julie I think it was suggested that my low and high pressures weren't too far apart due to the large amounts of RERA's I tend to have. The thought was that maybe a large change in pressure from low to high would cause even more arousals?? I suppose I'll never know until I give it a shot. Maybe I'll ...

Re: Do I need more pressure????
Thanks Julie,
If I raise the bottom pressure to 8.8 and top to 10.2 should I bump my EPR up from 1 to 2 (given my prev history with exhale) issues? or is it better to leave EPR out of the equation??
cheers

Do I need more pressure????
Good Morning all, I'm still trying to find my sweet spot on my machine. In the beginning I had struggled with the feeling of suffocation, which is getting a little better. I've received some good advice here, some of which was to use a narrow set up to start with such as the one I'm using now. 6.8 -...

Re: Mild apnea & oxygen levels.
Thank-You Pugsy Those rera's and hypopnea's that seem to dominate in my case are interesting. I certainly notice the awakenings or shifting more with the cpap on. I don't notice them when I don't have the cpap on, doesn't mean they are not happening but I'm 100% sure I'm awake more with Cpap and giv...

Re: Mild apnea & oxygen levels.
Thanks Julie, I do have SH loaded. Have to wait on replacing the mattress, king size and newer I'm going to have to just perform my own experiments and log my findings. I would like to get my machine set up to where it appears I'm doing well and go from there. At least I can monitor my O2 sats and n...

Re: Mild apnea & oxygen levels.
Thanks julie, I think I can be successful sleeping mostly on my sides, i tend to wake up that way , usually with sore shoulders from side sleeping. My wife would say I snore only on my back periodically (doc said I have a soft uvula) but my wife nudges me to turn over. Good advice Julie, I am going ...

Re: Mild apnea & oxygen levels.
My doctor feels that I don't fit the profile. Large neck, heavy, plummeting oxygen levels. But he saw the sleep study with the 14 AHI, again no breakdown and said If I really wanted a script he would write it but feels sleep clinics are more of a racket (recently) the ever before. The sleep clinic s...

Re: Mild apnea & oxygen levels.
Hi guys, my sleep study showed 14, I'm assuming that's AHI?? but with no breakdown as to whether they were OB, CA, Hypo or Rera's. As i said my 2 oxygen reports without using cpap were 92.4 (basil spo2% 95.5) and 92.9 (basil spo2% 95.6). The one time with Cpap it was 93.3 (basil spo2 95.9) So my oxy...

Mild apnea & oxygen levels.
Hey gang looking for some opinions here. How strong is the relation between o2 sats, hypopneas, and rera's. The reason I ask is this. My sleep study had shown 14 events with a minimum low of 91.4 oxygen level. The report did not show obstructive, CA, Hyponea or Rera's, just events with some snoring....
