Some ideas to share, for dry mouth
Hi Everyone, I posted a few months back but a lot has changed since I was last here. I wanted to share a few things I learned about , with hopes to maybe help someone else. I have advanced Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension, asthma, and OSA. I have other issues as well and I'm about to get my gall blad...

Re: Women with sleep apnea please reply
I agree with zoocrewphoto . I'm not in a position to offer any medical advice, but I would think that under good care from your doctors, you should be able to have a healthy baby with sleep apnea. I personally wasn't officially diagnosed till my 40's, however I know I had sleep apnea at a young age,...

Re: Phillips Dreamstation filters- 2 types-BIG difference
UGHHHH....They didn't give me a manual. The company/provider truely sucks. I've pretty much had to figure it all out on my own. Well, this explains the good air. LOL Thanks, Yall.

Re: Phillips Dreamstation filters- 2 types-BIG difference
NO, I don't think the new filter was leaking unfiltered air around it. It just didn't fit as tight. Yes, I was really surprised in the difference. I even checked my thermostate to be sure my room temp was the same. I keep it about 71 and I'm in Denver, so it was cold out last night...I usually still...

Re: Tooth Pain and CPAP
I have not had tooth pain, however, I have had my gums hurting a bit in the roof of my mouth...so like behind my teeth. I was also curious to know if others have gum pain. I think its from the dry air since I am a mouth breather. I plan to go to a dentist this week as well. Good luck!

Phillips Dreamstation filters- 2 types-BIG difference
Today I woke up feeling surprised and happy. If any of you use this machine Phillips Auto Dream Station with humidity , you know that the normal filter, which it comes with, is blue plastic, with a little cover over the filer where the air flows through. It's a little more boxed shaped....Not sure h...

Re: Ice in humidifier chamber
I also have a deviated septum. My nose is tiny. I breath 95% through my mouth. I like cool air too. I have a few tricks that help me.... I put my ceiling fan on medium. I don't mind my room cold and using more blankets. I found that too many pillows blocks the air around my face, so I just use the o...

Re: Looking for dimensions--- Amara View (small)
I have a very small face. I tried the Amara View. I found, for me, that it worked for about a week, but once it softened up and got a bit worn, it started to leak, or it moved in my sleep, so then didn't line up correctly on my face. I felt the nose holes were too large for me personally. I went bac...

Re: Sleep Apnea with Pulmonary Hypertension
I agree about the Gerd still maybe being a problem, but 2 of my docs stated they didn't feel it was my issue and none have wanted to treat me for this any more. I currently am seeing a ENT, a allergist/asthma doc, a cardiologist, 2 polmonologists (1 specializing only in PAH), and a sleep doc. And th...

Re: Sleep Apnea with Pulmonary Hypertension
Yes. They tried me on meds for that for 6 months...no difference. It's not Gerd. But I will try sleeping more at an angle. Thanks for the tips! Today I was really desperate to get my pressure down before my Right Heart Cath Test coming up. I tried things that I normally wouldn't do, or spend money o...

Re: Too much humidity or too little?
I asked my doc the same thing about humidity. I'm in Denver. He said I can set it to 5 and if I need more humidity here, and he suggested I wrap my hose with medical tape....wierd, I know. He also ordered me a new hose with heat and cooling . I havent got it yet to say how it is. But 4-5 seems to be ...

Sleep Apnea with Pulmonary Hypertension
Hi Everyone, I'm new here. So I really tried to spend a month reading this site before posting, so as not to repost something here already....Sorry if this is long-winded...I'm a 50 year old single female. I had a really bad choking cough (on and off) for the past 4 years and finally broke down and ...
