Re: What is your AHI average?
I'm not sure what my AHI was from my sleep study (long time ago), but the first night I got my ResMed S10 and a new mask that leaked all night, my AHI was 60. I would assume I got some treatment benefit even with a leaky mask. Got my mask leak resolved with a different mask. Now I average below 1 ev...

Re: 1st night of stats - not good imo
ChicagoGranny - I remember waking up several times right at the end of the sleep session. The mask was mashing my nose so I readjusted it and went right back to sleep. I was, in fact, on my back when that was happening. Also, the pressures are way higher than I thought I needed. Isn't there a possib...

Wow. Switched back to my Wisp mask and increased the pressure. This is good stuff. I have so much energy.

Re: 1st night of stats - not good imo
And if you're a back (vs sides) sleeper, which provokes many more apneas, do whatever you can to keep off your back overnight, even if it means wearing a backpack (or sewn-in ball) til you've converted. I also suggest using a soft cervical collar to keep your head off your chest (if it applies), yo...

Re: 1st night of stats - not good imo
Hey robysue,
I just noticed, but this data is for my second sleep session. When I launch SleepyHead, it shows an AHI of 45.x. However, when I click on daily stats, it only shows that second session after I woke up briefly. I wen to sleep around 12:30am and woke up at 5am like I mentioned. Hmmm....

Re: 1st night of stats - not good imo
Again, this is only one night with all new stuff, and I'd like to confirm that the mask leak was to blame. Any help/insights would be greatly appreciated. The leaky mask is to blame for only some of this ugliness. Your leaks are excessively high for an excessively long period of time. The data when...

Re: 1st night of stats - not good imo
Also - I think it's incredibly stupid for the Airsense 10 to give all smiley faces with the little "sleep report" after a night like this. A smiley for mask seal? Really?

Re: 1st night of stats - not good imo
Looking at the pressure line, the machine runs up to 11.0 and stays there most of the night. This is an indication that your minimum pressure (4.0) is too low. It could also be that the maximum (11.0) is too low. I'm almost certain the settings are too low. My Dr. is working off of a sleep/titratio...

1st night of stats - not good imo
I've finally received a new machine (after 6 years of avoiding therapy). I have an AirSense 10 Auto and also received a new Dreamwear mask. The mask is very comfortable but I think I had it too loose. My wife reports loud snoring all night and some choking/gasping for breath. She woke me up once whe...

Re: Sleep Apnea with Pulmonary Hypertension
Thank you for sharing this. I believe I'm in a similar situation. I've been monitoring my blood pressure for the last few days, and it's through the roof. I'm going to my doctor tomorrow morning to verify and explore options. It's taken me 5 years to finally use my CPAP due to claustrophobic issues....

Re: I've been a newbie for 5 years…
Thanks everyone for the great information. Like I said, I'll find out in May what my doctor can/is willing to do, and it's good to have the information about where to purchase out-of-pocket. I made it through night two and I'm feeling great today.
