Re: Resmed autoset or not with hypopnea
Thank you all again. I will ignore the poster asking why I need a CPAP. All I can say, I certainly wouldn't use it if I didn't need it or if I didn't receive a benefit. Or, maybe I use it just so I can sit at the cool kids table? I will tweek the machine with slight variances to see how I feel. My C...

Re: Resmed autoset or not with hypopnea
Thanks everyone. I do like this machine much better, just want to make sure I'm using the correct setting. I will play around with it and see what works for me. Have a great evening.
I wanted to add that I "don't" stop breathing with my hypopnea. It was a typo.

Re: Resmed autoset or not with hypopnea
Thank you for responding. I have tried alternative ways of treating my hypopnea. CPAP therapy works wonderfully and has stopped the horrible headaches I would wake up with. I feel rested and ready to take on the day using my CPAP. Without it, it is miserable. I do stop breathing with my hypopnea as ...

Resmed autoset or not with hypopnea
Hello everyone, I am currently using a System One with the pressure set at 11 for my Hypopnea. I was gifted a Resmed Airsense 10. I have read that the autoset is good for those with obstructive sleep apnea, which I do not have. The Airsense 10 is not the "for her" model. I was wondering if you all c...

Re: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy or (CBT) Worked For me
Kaybaby - try another psychologist, one who's actually interested in helping you. Anyone can do CBT unless they're incredibly obtuse and incapable of any personal insight whatsoever. Thanks. I also did hypnosis with her before I moved on to another psychologist. 4 weeks of CBT and so far nothing st...

Re: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy or (CBT) Worked For me
I've tried CBT with my psychologist to no avail. If someone finds a free online course I'm in.

My sleep doctor is a neurologist. I have had an MRI, CT and EEG. All were negative.

Re: How do last nights numbers look?
I fall asleep fairly quickly at 10 - 11 pm. Awake at 2 or 3 am every day. I have tried just about everything to stay asleep, other than meds which I won't touch. I have seen an accupuncturist, chiropractor, sleep specialist, psychotherapist, and hypnosis. Oh and on a visit to India, an ayurvedic he...

Re: How do last nights numbers look?
Thank you all for responding. I am restless and average around 4 hours of sleep per night. The rest is spent staring at the ceiling. I do get froggy when I'm tossing and turning. I have no doubt I'm gulping air. Mental note to stop made the gulp. How long does it take you to fall asleep at the begi...

Re: How do last nights numbers look?
I am waking with headaches that I'm trying to figure out where they are coming from. They are similar to what I felt prior to starting therapy. I'm also having some nights with aerophagia, it's very painful.
