Re: Sudden rainout in tube and mask...
Cover the hose going from your mask to the hose. Get creative - you can use an old sock just poke a hole in the toe or wrap with a towel or scarf. For hose management you can search and read thru millions of posts on the topic but my fav is using a Command Strip hook. Put "Command Strip" (incl. quo...

Re: Can you Cheat a spleep apenia test?
Instead of trying to cheat the test, follow a simple diet... My wife and I started a ketogenic diet (High Fat, Mid Protein, Low Carb) on New Years this year... I'm down just over 50 pounds so far (from 286 to 235 so far!). Before you ask the obvious questions- no, my cholesterol has not gone up (in ...

Sudden rainout in tube and mask...
I'm using a Dreamstation with a Dreamwear Mask (large) and nasal pillow (small). Humidifier is set to 2, static - I've been using that for a few months now. Room stays between 67 and 73 typically. The last few nights, I've woken up mid-night to a "gurgling" noise and inhaling water... not fun to wak...

Re: One Month Follow Up + Questions
Most nights I seem to fall asleep within half an hour or so - typically I put it on, read for a few minutes, then roll over and try to get some sleep... I'll start trying to keep better track of that though, because I know some nights I can be awake for upwards of an hour with it on, just waiting to...

Re: One Month Follow Up + Questions
So, just finished my second month... things are definitely improved, but I still seem to be more tired than I should be. Headaches are pretty much gone, and I' not nearly as stuffy and dry in the nose and throat as I used to be. I have noticed that I seem to have a LOT of hypopneas though... thought...

Re: so clean 2
And if your pet should take a nap nearby-- This could end very badly. Indeed - admittedly, it is unlikely something connected to a home 120v outlet would be able to put out enough ozone in a short enough time to raise the concentration in the air to a high enough level where it would become dangero...

Re: So Clean
Kittamaru has some very excellent points. Usually these threads are re-animated by others with less noble intentions. I apologize for hopping down his throat. Hehe, not a problem mate - as I said, after working with it for a while, I know that Ozone can be quite effective in the right applications....

Re: Modem keeps disconnecting
Ah... interesting! My machine is wifi capable, and in fact the DME tech told me to connect it to my wifi, so I had assumed that was the way it transmitted data. Odd that it would have issues on a cellular connection (dunno what carrier it uses) - my Verizon based phone never has issues I appreciate ...

Re: Brain recovery: how to speed it up ?
And an even cheaper and faster way to get into ketosis is to .............. f a s t . Certainly - though I doubt you could (or would want) to sustain that for more than a few days The idea of a ketogenic diet is to hold that ketosis state long-term and avoid triggering the insulin response that a c...

Re: so clean 2
I posted this in the other "So Clean" thread I found, figured I'd repost it here as well for visibility (if I can save you some money, all the better!) Sorry to dredge up an old post, but figured I'd put my .02 in here as I saw the question about these "so clean" machines come up again: I used to wo...

Re: So Clean
Sorry to dredge up an old post, but figured I'd put my .02 in here as I saw the question about these "so clean" machines come up again: I used to work with a restoration company... and one of our bigger investments was in an ozone +... something (I can't remember the other name) chamber. Now, this t...

Re: One Month Follow Up + Questions
Your insurance company could care less what mode of operation you are using. They only care about the number of hours each night. Now your DME might squawk but probably not too loudly if you just make a tiny change...they might not even notice. You can change the settings yourself if you want to. I...

Re: Brain recovery: how to speed it up ?
I would second the Ketogenic Diet - I only was able to stay on it about two months (because of time issues - working two jobs leaves precious little time for meal prep!) but it was fantastic - I felt a bit more alert, some of the fogginess went away (and this was before I started the CPAP therapy),...

Modem keeps disconnecting
So... for the second time in two weeks, I have gotten an email (and notification on Dreammapper) that my CPAP modem is not connecting/transmitting information. No other device in my house has had issues staying connected to my modem... so I'm kind of concerned the issue may lie with the machine itse...
