Thank you for the helpful info. I had figured out I am wearing it too tight, but like I said I did it to stop it from leaking. I have lost significant weight since my diagnosis, including in my face. 50 lbs since December! I also ordered one of the Padacheek liners. Hopefully that helps.

Red marks on face
I've developed red marks on my cheeks around my nose. I believe my cushion needs to be replaced and I've tried to compensate for the leaking by making the mask tighter, if that makes sense. I wear an F10 size medium. Anyway, I have ordered a new mask/cushion from an eBay seller (that's ok to do, rig...

Re: Question about pressure changes
Oh of course! That's why my AHI is so much lower. That makes total sense. Thank you.

Question about pressure changes
So it's still going well for me - I feel great most of the time and my AHIs are consistently below 1. I have a question that's mainly my own curiosity because I like to understand why things are. I'm sure my machine is doing its job. http://i.imgur.com/WRQYkAGh.png I'm starting to pay attention on t...

Re: My first 2 nights
I'll post more results later. My mouth was very dry last night. My humidity is set at the default of 3. I increased it to 4 for tonight, but my water level may have been too low too. I have filled it. Just curious what others have the humidity set at?
I appreciate all the advice I've received!

Re: My first 2 nights
Great, I will go and change my minimum pressure to 7. And hope it still likes my SD card! I did make sure with another SD card that my laptop doesn't ignore the lock.

One thing I noticed is that the times are about 2 hours off.

My first 2 nights
I got the Sleepyhead software downloaded and I took screenshots of my first two nights. I don't think I'm doing too bad? The first night, my pressures were 4-20, the second night I increased my min pressure to 5. Any feedback? Should I make any changes tonight? Do I need to set up my graphs differen...

Re: My first night is tonight
My second night went even better. No red marks on my cheeks today so I don't have to use as much foundation. I raised my min pressure to 5. This morning I saw it was on 6 point something. My AHI was 0.2??? Pressure (is that an average or max?) said 9.2.
I will download Sleepyhead tonight after work.

Re: My first night is tonight
Do you feel you can breathe easily at 4 (the default low setting of the machine... the one most of us find very difficult to get enough air at)? The majority of us end up raising that (don't worry about the high end 20 yet, if ever) by at least a couple of #s and then see what Sleepyhead says - if ...

Re: My first night is tonight
What are your pressure settings? Ok, I figured out how to get into my settings. It's set at 4-20. Under pressure it says 9.4 and I used it 6.4 hours. Under AHI it doesn't say anything but I probably would have seen a number there this morning? I need to download the software but I read that there a...

Re: My first night is tonight
Hi Julie,
No, I knew I could breathe through my nose, and I did most of the time. It was more like, you know how sometimes you need a deeper breath? Like that.

Re: My first night is tonight
A couple other things. I didn't try the humidity because I didn't have any distilled water. It wasn't bad without it. I will try maybe a low level of humidity. Also, when I took the mask off this morning? Wow. I had to catch my breath!

Re: My first night is tonight
Well, I believe my first night was a success! I was actually ready to get up when my alarm went off. That in itself is an improvement. I have red marks on my cheeks but I think the top part of my headgear was too tight. I loosened them this morning and it felt better. It felt very strange to breathe...

My first night is tonight
I have the S9 Autoset for her and a Resmed F10 for her mask. I have it all set up and ready to go. I've tried on my mask (full face mask) and don't feel claustrophobic. It says I have a good fit. The pressure kind of scared me at first but when I relaxed and just breathed, it was better. I'm motivat...
