Re: Total Time in Apnea - SH Bar graph
Of course they are! My comment was not thought through. I was thinking constriction, not the absence of air flow.

Thanks.
Curious that CAs count since there is no obstruction there.

Total Time in Apnea - SH Bar graph
How is the SH bar graph for Total Time in Apnea calculated? Last night I recorded 0 OAs, 2 CAs of 32 seconds duration, and 8 hypopneas of 155 seconds duration. My Total Time in Apnea was recorded as 00:03:07. I assume that is 3 minutes, seven seconds of what my Dream Station calculated as apnea. I w...

Re: RERA Questions
Thank you lilly747, I did not wish to imply that your suggestion was not helpful. Forgive me if it appeared so. I appreciate all the responses I have gotten to these concerns. Perhaps a pressure increase is the answer; I will discuss that with the sleep doc next week. Thanks robysue, for again provi...

Re: RERA Questions
Thanks for your responses. I have read about RERAs. Definition is fairly cryptic. Respiratory Event Related Arousal... a sequence of breaths characterized by increasing respiratory effort leading to an arousal from sleep, but which does not meet criteria for an apnea or hypopnea.” RERA Detection in ...

RERA Questions
I have been experiencing numerous RERAs for each of the last ten nights of therapy. Please provide some insight into these events. I have read the definition, but do not fully understand. What are RERAs? What impact do they have on sleep quality? What health risks do they indicate? What can be done ...

Re: Assistance requested re: SH leak data
palerider,
My only real question in all that rambling post was:
...given the March 11 data, can you advise if I had a leak rate for that date that is of concern?
If you have additional responses, I would appreciate it.

Re: Assistance requested re: SH leak data
Thank you robysue for your detailed response to my question. I greatly appreciate your explanation of my leak rate concerns. Regarding your statement: "In order for the estimated Leak Rate numbers to be reasonably accurate, you must make sure that the expected Leak Rate at 4cm and 20cm is correctly ...

Assistance requested re: SH leak data
I am new to CPAP (one month), new to Sleepyhead, and am attempting to find my way in the bewildering new life changing series of events since diagnosis with OSA. My diagnosis AHI was 12.3, and my one month average AHI was 13.46. My initial pressure Rx set on my DreamStation CPAP auto after the diagn...

Re: DreamStation on NEW Sleepyhead
Palerider,
Thank you. Data now downloaded. It will take me a while to look through the last month of usage. Will try to pick a date to post and seek information and advice for improved therapy results.

Re: DreamStation on NEW Sleepyhead
It shows up on my desk top as "NoName." When I click on Import I get a screen message saying, "A PRS1 file was located at /Volumes/NO Name Would you like to import from this location? If I click yes, I get the "NO valid machine files..." message. If I click specify, I get a panel with Open at top an...

Re: DreamStation on NEW Sleepyhead
I am attempting to download my data for the first time from a Dreamstation. I successfully downloaded the Apple version of Sleepyhead, built a profile, and inserted my SD card as directed. When I attempt to import files I get a screen message: "Couldn't find any valid machine data at/volume NoName."...

Thanks guys, I have entered the mask setting in the Dream Station. Will see if there is any benefit to having done so tonight.
