Re: Sleepyhead shows horrific night, NEED to make a change

http://imgur.com/fdEheH1 What do I need to change? Please help me... I just updated sleepyhead, and it is now doing a great job with the Aircurve 10 data, showing two pressure lines. Beautiful. But those events?? well, when you've got the pressure maxed out on a lowered ceiling, and there's tons of...

Re: Sleepyhead shows horrific night, NEED to make a change

I just checked with him - he says he believes he was sleeping on his back the entire night. He finds it to be impossible to lay on his side with the Quattro FX mask - he said the mask leaks when he does, unlike with his nasal mask. He did try to elevate himself though - which I think just makes him ...

Re: Sleepyhead shows horrific night, NEED to make a change

Just now I changed his ipapmax back to 25, I think that's what needs to be done. Would love feedback to hear if that was the right move. Also, I just updated the screenshot, edited the original post - I corrected it to include flow rate, I messed this up before (sorry palerider). Here it is: http://...

Rough first few nights with new Quattro FX mask - Advice?

Hey fellas, http://imgur.com/a/qbDaz So my dad finally got a new mask, the Quattro FX, but he is having a hard time with it. The pattern seems to be that first hour or so of sleep is littered with events. In general, when you move from a nasal mask to a full face mask, do you need higher pressures o...

High pressures causing sleep disturbance

Hey guys, AJ here again on behalf of my dad (he'd be doing this himself, but he isn't the best with computers lol) So my dad is having a bit of a dilema. He said that last night he woke up around 6am feeling like the pressure was way too high. He believes the pressure woke him. Now, he wants your ad...

Re: Please help me fine-tune my dad's Vauto settings

Sure thing, Palerider: http://imgur.com/a/HP2fK I was hoping there was a guide for that around, I wasn't sure which charts were the most helpful. Thank you for that Thanks for the advice, Robysue. The PS is 3. Glad to hear the 7 was a good move. Going to a DME is a good idea, he'd like to try them o...

Please help me fine-tune my dad's Vauto settings

Hey guys, So my dad has started using his new Resmed Aircurve 10 Vauto, with great success. He is waking up greatly refreshed in the mornings. Here is an album with my dad's Sleepyhead graphs for the first 5 days of use: http://imgur.com/a/lDCc1 I don't know much about Sleepyhead, though I've read q...

Re: Nasal PillowTalk (Philips Nuance)

Interesting that your only problem with the Philips Nuance was the airflow from the vents. My dad tried to get used to the Nuance (tried them 3 times), but ended up deciding that they don't work for him. He feels it irritates his nostrils too much - he has pretty bad allergies this time of year, tha...

Re: Accidentally reset bipap to default - Help me fix it please!

Hey Guys! We are now in posession of a Resmed Aircurve 10 Vauto! (thanks grayghost) I would like some advice on how to set the machine up so my dad can use it tonight. Re: Accidentally reset bipap to default - Help me fix it please!

Hey thanks for replying, Wulfman. That was indeed my post on apneaboards. To be honest I didn't include that information because I was afraid my post was already too long, and no one would bother helping me. I really appreciate your advice. He has decided to go for an auto bilevel, as he really isn'...

Re: Accidentally reset bipap to default - Help me fix it please!

Hey Palerider, we were actually looking into just buying him a new machine (secondwindcpaps will accept our 12 year old polysomnographic, so we could even buy from him with a warranty). We are just trying to figure out if he needs an AutoBipap or an AutoCpap with EPR. I'm honestly not even sure what...

Re: Dream station auto vs Resmed Air sense 10?

My dad is looking for a new machine to replace his 12 year old bipap. I want him to get one of these Autocpaps, but he thinks he will need an autobipap, as he remembers not being able to sleep with a cpap (hence why the doctors gave him the Respironics Duet LX System Bipap machine 12 years ago). I h...
