Re: CPAP not working, or adjusting?
Just weighing in here. Much of the detail about your CPAP use is quite useful. You did mention sight leaking from your mask and losing weight (good stuff;) With the use of an adjustable chinstrap you may very well eliminate the small leaks that rob you of consistent pressure and effective treatment...

Re: CPAP not working, or adjusting?
Regarding leaks, is it normal to have air blowing out of your mask? My wife complaints about the whistling noise keeping her awake, which I hope to also solve, but I am primarily concerned about leaking so much air. Also I often wake up with a dry mouth. Yet the leak data always looks good. This is...

Re: CPAP not working, or adjusting?
The total system leak is the essentially the average flow rate. The graphs that show flow rate for breathing are normalized to this average so that they go up and down through zero. The leak that is reported is the total system leak minus the expected vent flow rate. Very small leaks may not be rep...

Re: CPAP not working, or adjusting?
I wouldn't change a thing if you are not uncomfortable. It surprises me that you can get enough air at your start pressure of 4, but if you are comfortable with it, that is great. One of the advantages of autoramp is that you can see when you fall asleep, and the machine doesn't respond to or recor...

Re: CPAP not working, or adjusting?
Thanks OkyDoky. No new medications. I have been eating better and losing weight recently, although, I would expect if anything this would help with my sleep. No recent bloodwork, but its a good suggestion for next doc visit. Thanks for the information on formatting results. I will look these over an...

Below are my statistics over the full time using the machine, a 3 month overview, and daily stats from last night (which I feel I slept pretty good): http://i.imgur.com/Sj7gHwy.jpg http://i.imgur.com/spdcCt5.jpg http://i.imgur.com/mb57Kog.jpg http://i.imgur.com/X0Wxrb0.jpg http://i.imgur.com/dvyo60J...

Re: Apria rental / purchase / maintenance
Old thread but great information, thanks! I have Cigna insurance, who farms out sleep work to CareCentrix, who set me up with Apria for supplying a CPAP and supplies. I pay a fee every six months for leasing the machine, and for them to monitor usage (certain usage is required by Cigna). After that ...

CPAP not working, or adjusting?
First, a little background. I have mild sleep apnea (AHI=13), and have been using a CPAP for about four months now. It is a Resmed AirSense 10 Autoset, with a Mirage FX nasal mask. With this I consistently have my AHI under 2 (as reported by the CPAP). I woke up feeling amazing after the very first ...
