Re: Tearing off mask in middle of the night

The software is called Sleepyhead. There are others here who will do a much better job of introducing you to it than I could, but if you search the forums for that, you should find lots of info about it. I'm having the same issue you are. I'm a relatively new CPAP user, on my second mask, and I seem...

P10 mask keeps coming off in the night

About a week ago I was given a P10 "for her" mask to try, after struggling with the DreamMask for about a month. I actually did get the DreamMask to work for me, but I had to tie it to my face in order to get it to seal properly and the DME and I agreed that this was kind of silly as a long term sol...

Thanks Jay - I missed that on the other thread (obviously).

Re: Changing the time on a ResMed A10

That's a great idea, thanks! I didn't know it was that easy to use a different SD card.

Changing the time on a ResMed A10

My machine is set 3 hours ahead of the actual local time (from this and other settings I suspect my DME just took it out of the box and gave it to me without setting it up at all). The clinical manual warns that changing the time could cause data loss, so I emailed my DME to ask about it. He sent me...

Re: A few questions for DreamMask users

Pretty much every time there are a ton of CAs I have not been sleeping well, and vice versa, so I don't want to take up people's time analyzing results deeply until I get to where I'm actually sleeping and not recording a lot of sleep/wake junk, as someone here called it. Last night I got creative. ...

Re: A few questions for DreamMask users

I have it as snug as the strap will allow... I can't pull it any tighter. I'd have to cut the strap so more of it would fit through the slots. Which would probably help. Last night I slept fine for 2 hours, got up to pee and then just could not get fully back to sleep; I was too aware of the mask an...

Re: A few questions for DreamMask users

Thanks for the offer, Sonnyboy, I will let you know if I can't get my DME to send me a medium cushion. Here's last night's data: http://imgur.com/vtDZx8i I have it set to auto ramp between 7.4 and 8.6 - a very narrow range, I know. I'm not trying to determine a final setting here; I'm trying to get ...

Re: A few questions for DreamMask users

Ok, so last night I did a couple of new things - I put the back strap all the way under my hair, which pulls it down quite a bit, and I put a few pieces of folded up fabric (waxing strips for those who know what they look like) between the top of my head and the frame, where there is a small gap. Th...

Re: A few questions for DreamMask users

Sadly no, I did not get a fit pack, and last time I talked to the DME he didn't seem to think it was worth trying a larger cushion. I emailed him this morning but he hasn't gotten back to me, so I'm going to spend a few more days tinkering with the masks I have. Next week I'll have to get pushy abou...

Re: A few questions for DreamMask users

I poked around on this site and found places where there was info about how various folks keep the Dreamwear on their face. I am a side sleeper and that seems to dislodge it sometimes too. I have read, on this site, that some women make a pony tail that the strap fits under to keep it in place bett...

A few questions for DreamMask users

I started out with a DreamMask, medium frame and small cushion. I am a side sleeper and I found that laying on my side was dislodging the cushion and causing leaks. This became a vicious cycle - the machine kept ramping up because of the leaks, which was making them worse. The pressure got up to 16,...

Re: Looking for suggestions on next mask to try

Thanks to you both! I will add these to the list.

The small DreamMask frame arrived (funny, it was postmarked the day I emailed my DME to ask why it hadn't arrived yet...) and as I feared, it was too small.

Re: 2 weeks-in; finally a restful night sleep

Congratulations! I am at the two week mark myself and hope to be able to report similar success soon.

It strikes me as oh-so-ironic that I sleep way better au natural than with the mask on. Wasn't the whole problem we were addressing that I wasn't sleeping well in the first place???

Looking for suggestions on next mask to try

I'm having a bit of trouble with my current mask, and I'd rather crowdsource some ideas than rely on my DME, who hasn't impressed me with his keen enthusiasm so far. I started out with a DreamMask, medium frame and small nose piece. It was a bit too loose and I had a lot of trouble with leaks. I wen...
