Re: Bleep Eclipse...so far
I had a similar problem the 2nd and 3rd nights with Eclipse: in my case loud, whooshing air that I couldn't tell where it was coming from, but when I put a little pressure with my fingertips on the underside of the Halos, it stopped. (Of course I had to remove the Eclipse, because I couldn't go back...

Re: (Another) recall for Philips - This Time Dreamwear Masks
So this thread got my attention, because like many I'm waiting for the Eclipse and interested in the future of magnet technology for CPAP. I did find Philip's timing of this recall interesting, since we've heard that the Eclipse will most likely come in October. After doing a little digging online, ...

Re: CPAP Travel Tips?
I had forgotten about something that happened to me in 2004 (eighteen years ago). I took a riverboat cruise on the Yangtze River. My room was so small that the only way I could use the CPAP machine was to sleep backwards from the way they set the bed. That is, the only place for the machine was opp...

Re: CPAP Travel Tips?
I just flew to Italy, no problems with carrying on the CPAP in addition to my actual carryon item. I'm using the AirSense 11, which is a little quieter and noticably lighter than the AirSense 10 even though they are about the same size. My wife packed a European converter for the electrical outlet i...

Re: Phillips - Mask free solution for positional OSA
I suppose anything is possible if a person tries hard enough and gets lucky but I haven't been able to do it yet and I have been trying for well over 5 years now because the back stuff has gotten so bad the last few years. I've worn the NightBalance Lunoa for five nights now. Saw it in a news feed ...

Re: ResMed new nasal cradle mask - AirFit N30
I got mine yesterday, and I generally like it, but does anyone have any advice on securing it in place more? I'm rethinking the post I put here a month ago. The straps are interchangeable, but you might need more tension with the N30. It might be safer to go with the adjustable strap on the nasal m...

Re: New Mask Question
I use the f20 airfit ( not totally leakproof but best so far ) .my wife made me a single Velcro strap that does between 2 lower straps ( ones with magnets)and then under my chin . helps keep mouth closed and mask from riding up to your lip . 3 nights so far and no problems with mouth leaks anymore ...

Re: How often will I need to replace parts for mask & CPAP
Thanks for your tips everyone... You'll find the routine that works for you. As for drying out the humidifier chamber, you do not need to set the humidity to 0, but I agree it is a good idea to let air blow through the machine after you empty the water each morning. I do this and also use distilled...

Re: ResMed new nasal cradle mask - AirFit N30
They say the headgear isn't the same headgear as with the P10 and not interchangeable but I will believe it if I see it. They said the same thing about all the Swift Nano FX & Swift FX pillow stuff...that they weren't interchangeable but they were. The headgear is completely interchangeable; the ma...

Fisher-Paykel just released the Vitera full face mask in the U.S.
It's similar to their Simplus but is supposed to have fewer leaks around the nose and be more comfortable around the mouth.

Re: Dry Eye Problems
started having serious dry eye issues last year after starting on CPAP. I saw an ophthalmologist who put in punctal plugs, patted me on the head and sent me on my way  . I had punctal plugs put in several years ago, but I had them removed after increased redness and irritation led me to believ...

Re: bandana or mouth muffle
ahhh! very good. as i said, please let me know what the results are, even if it's negative. good luck! Thank you! The Scrunci headbands are very comfortable and probably the best option for putting cloth over the mouth. I also tried the 100% cotton surgical mask but had it pulled down so that the t...

Re: Afrin nasal spray
However, I've had good luck with nasal steroids. Currently prefer Flonase Sensimist. i use flonase or rather the costco generic equivalent. (hat tip to dogslobber) i've seen the sensimist variant in the grocery store. can you tell me the difference? or at least as you perceive it? thanks! The main ...
