Re: still tired, wake up a lot
The main 4 disturbances of sleep in my opinion are light, sound, apnea and twitching. I don't dream much, so I can't comment on that. But anyone of those 4 things in combination can easily wake you up. However, pay attention for patterns. It seems you are waking up a precise times which seems to sug...

Re: Can loss of weight cure sleep apnea
I will posit to you john that it's not so much weight loss that's important rather it's BMI. You want as much as possible to aim for a perfect BMI. If weight gain introduced sleep apnea, and you hit an excellent BMI, I believe you will in the least drastically reduce the number of apnea per hours wh...

Re: Food for thought for anyone with Mild Sleep Apnea
. I justify my throat having nothing to do with my sleep apnea because there's not much opportunity for fatty tissue in the throat to cause the obstruction; as I understand throat muscle relaxation is an order of magnitude more probable to cause the obstruction, but like I said before I gained thos...

As with all things, different perspective and insufficient accuracy in conveyance can lead to people coming to different conclusions or understandings. I will do my best to address you all in 1 post. I never said that sleep apnea was weight based. Instead I said I developed sleep apnea after gaining...

Re: How do I (or the doctors) know I have OSA or CSA?
I had an overnight home test via the hospital which showed an AHI of 30. I presumed - and as far as I know so does my doctor - that it is OSA. Why? Just based on the statistically likelihood? How would they test to find out if it is CSA vs OSA? And is there any benefit in knowing? Thanks When they ...

Food for thought for anyone with Mild Sleep Apnea
I have mild obstructive sleep apnea with a Apnea Hypopnea Index (AHI) of 5 or 6; so five or six times per hour my breathing is obstructed. The obstructions of sleep apnea belong to three categories; the nose, the oral cavity and the throat. I can breath fine when lying down which means that when I b...
