Oscar issue

I switched from a AS11 back to AS10 ... Oscar still shows the AS11 in the heading. Is there a setting in Oscar to set the CPAP type and does it make any difference?

Image

OSCAR Makes some assumptions. Yes, I know I am battling some serious leaks ... for some time now!

Re: AS11 Pulsing

How can the mask pressure go so high? Your mask was in Large Leak for 43% of the night. The data is probably inaccurate. You need to fix the mask leak. Find that mask on youtube and carefully watch some videos on fitting and adjusting. I am trying to get the leaks under control with minimal success...

Re: Leaks out of control

Cannot seem to get leaks under control. Using a cpapgel product and a ruby chin strap but leaks are still all over the place. Using stethoscope showed leaks at both corners of the mouth ... I look like "Charlie Macarthy" ... the deep creases leak. Here the leaks seem better but just under the 24 L/m...

Re: AS11 Pulsing

I reduced pressure to 11-16 and EPR to 2 and for the last two nights the pulsing has stopped. At least, not that I perceive them. How can the mask pressure go so high?

Re: Leaks out of control

Leaks better but still above 24 l/m. I assume that the leaks at 30 dor 95% are low enough that the AHI is accurate. I am using F20 with REmzzz liners and reduced pressure from 12-18 to 11-16, and EPR from 3 to 2. Has produced similar results for 3 nights. The rubber band on the new AS11 unit humidif...

AS11 Pulsing

I have read all the topics I can find on this issue of the CPAP unit pulsing. I experience a definite pulsing when awake, especially after a bathroom break. It looks as if I have some erratic, periodic breathing just before I go back to sleep and the machine software attempts to respond because EPR ...

Re: Leaks out of control

My guess is you badly misplaced the humidifier on the leaky night. Try to go about it very slowly and consciously, searching for whatever it is that will give you feedback about the correct placement. Use the "test maskfit". And do this whole learning session when you're wide awake, i.e. not just b...

Re: Leaks out of control

Another night of large leaks ALL night. I have checked the equipment with no evidence of a leak. I started the night laying down and using the built in mask fit ... checked ok for one full minute. Began therapy. I awoke at 2:20 and before going back to sleep ... used the built in mask fit ... checke...

Re: Leaks out of control

An AHI of 2.09 means that your sleep is getting interrupted, on average, every 28 minutes, actually probably more often, because the AHI doesn't count other respiratory issues that disturb sleep. 2 is an upper limit for having a good chance of getting some restful sleep. Ok, sure I cannot disagree....

Re: Leaks out of control

That doesn't mean anything, 5 is a BAD AHI. Shoot for under 1.5 My AHI average for 6 years prior to AS11 is 2.09, OA=0.14, HA=1,72, UA=0.06, CA=0.17, RERA=0.23, % time CSR=0.15%, Average Leak Rate=11.35, Average pressure =12.78, 95% pressure= 15.40 I doubt I can ever achieve AHI=1.5 ... seems exces...

Re: Leaks out of control

Can you hear of feel any place around the mask where there is an obvious leak? At 120 lt/min, it should be a roar. Unfortunately, I am very hard of hearing ... but my wife says she does not hear anything, and her hearing is very good? Really confused ... Here is the next night. Same setup except we...

Leaks out of control

Successfully used the RESMED F20 for 6 years. Recently, since changing to an AS11 from AS10, my leak rate is all over the place. One night no leaks, next night minimal. Almost like my mask is off. I have tried several other masks and recommendations ( Medium AirFit™ F20 Full Face, ResMed AirTouch F2...

Re: F30i valves block external vents when exhaling

My new Pulmonologist wanted me to set my pressure to 6-18 vs 12-18 I have used for 6 years. The anti-asphyxia valves on the elbow on the F20 mask flutter with pressure at 6 and EPR at 3. The mask vibrates because the exhalation pressure is too low which allows the value to partially open the anti-as...

Headache and slight nausea using fisher-paykel-vitera-full-face-mask

I recently received a new AS11. My Medium F20 masks type I have used since 2016 is not sealing well even using REMzzz liners (20-40% leak rate). My DME suggested I try the Fisher-Paykel-vitera-full-face-mask. However, after about 1.5 hour I woke up with a terrible headache and slight nausea. I tried...

Re: F30i Leak at Connection? - Disregard, Answered

I hope to try the F30i and it is good to know about the vents. I currently use the F20 and the elbow has vents but, unlike the old F10 the vents are distributed around the connection I cannot feel air exiting there.
