if I could get it to consistently be zero. That is not a realistic goal it would be more realistic to shoot for 1 or below. The medical community considers under 5 and being "treated" .The goal here is not to get the lowest score but rather to get the best sleep that you can. Nothing is really gain...

Problem could be just the power block if your friend knows how to use a volt meter you could unplug the power from the machine and check the 24v voltage at the plug that goes to the machine.

Can you give us the model number of that machine? Not sure from that name but the older Devilbiss machines required a additional module to store data on a SD card. See link below
