I linked the article because it provides a decent overview for those interested in only the high level overview and has links to the actual paper. Hopefully this additional link meets your needs better.

Re: CPAP for colonoscopy, or is oxygen sufficient?
The anesthesiologist needs to know you have sleep apnea, but they will only be applying a light amount of anesthesia during the colonoscopy. You will technically be awake and able to respond to commands, but will probably not remember much, if any, of the colonoscopy. As such it's unlikely that your...

Re: Can somebody please answer my question
I was wondering if its possible to put anything bad inside the system like the filter chemicals Yes. Some people put essential oils near the filter inlet. It's recommended not to put anything on the filter itself or inside the machine, but I wouldn't be surprised if some did either of those things ...

Just in case it's something else, try it without the humidifier attached. Disconnect the humidifier, attach the hose directly to the cpap, and see if the noise is still present.

You could probably even just run a long hose through the ice chest under the ice and water.

Re: is it normal to have more AHI during asthma exacerbation
Asthma, generally speaking, is airway restriction due to inflammation and mucus buildup. The inflammation can occur anywhere along the airway. It prevents proper function of the lungs, often reducing oxygen. Sleep apnea is a generalized term that includes several possible breathing disorders during ...

Re: WiFi SD cards
My understanding is most people who have gone this route use the Toshiba Flashair series of cards. There's a program that sets up the card, but when I've tried it, it failed and I haven't gotten around to resolving the issue. Hopefully others here will chime in and give us some better instructions...

Re: Ice in humidifier chamber
It would probably be easier to make a custom ice cube maker that fits the humidifier you plan to use than it would take to make a custom humidifier. That said, I suspect you could make a custom humidifier/cooler with pvc plumbing parts that would meet your needs and fit the hoses. It seems like that...

This humidifier looks like it's large enough to hold ice cubes:

Re: Ice in humidifier chamber
Your needs are specialized enough that I would echo the suggestion to use an external humidifier tank. Then you can use whatever PAP machine you want without worrying about the humidification needs you have.

I wasn't sure I should weigh in or not, whatever you do, make sure it's good for your own health. What I discovered from my own similar experiences is this: - It caused me more pain and unhappiness to worry about it and react to it than it did to ignore it and move on. After I realized that going do...
