Re: AirFit 20 full face
I'm having the same problem except that the marks aren't going away now. I'm developing sores. I'm waiting for a Gecko pad to see if that helps. In the meantime, I'm going back to my first, and leakiest, F&P Simplus mask until the sores heal.

Re: When people tell you not to make the straps too tight...
Have you tried a mask liner? Some people just have the skin that seems to get "marks" and "dents" easier than others even with the slightest amount of pressure and even if the mask is disgustingly loose. I am one of those people so that's how I know we are out there. I don't use a full face mask bu...

Re: When people tell you not to make the straps too tight...
Welp. I've discovered that it wasn't that the straps were too tight; it's the design of the mask and the way I sleep. I'm a side/stomach sleeper. I also change positions frequently during the night due to arthritis pain. Apparently, when I sleep, my head position causes the mask to be pushed into my...

Re: When people tell you not to make the straps too tight...
Yup! Full face masks need to "float" on your face. Sometimes it can take a bit of tweaking with the straps, but when you find the right setting it will be noticeable. Also, having the right bed pillow can make a HUGE difference. Den I've been experimenting with different pillows. I tried one of the...

Re: When people tell you not to make the straps too tight...
It's not a pleasant feeling, is it? I'm almost tempted to try to pad my nose with something tonight. But I keep thinking that if I get the straps right, I won't need to.

When people tell you not to make the straps too tight...
When people tell you not to make the straps too tight, believe them! I changed yesterday from a leaky F&P Simplus full face mask to a Resmed F20. The therapist at the DME adjusted the straps for me but I was in a sitting position. When I laid down last night, I didn't readjust them. I woke up around...

Re: Getting Sick
Thanks for the information, all. I'm actually feeling better today. Maybe yesterday was a false alarm or the BiPAP helped beat back the bug.

Re: Getting Sick
Thank you, Pugsy, for the sound advice. I'll just clean the mask and hose and normal, then. My DME provider said I should wash both once a week in warm soapy water. I wipe the mask down every morning with those CPAP wipes.

I go with Vit "C", caps 1,000 mg when well up to 3,000 when sick, Zinc Tabs also. OTC decongestants to breath, you have a ff mask, good, use your XPAP, germs don't like O2. I use Lysol spray, to kill germs, and soap and water to clean. Jim Thank you for responding. Got all my meds and stuff lined u...

Getting Sick
I'm on week three of using a BiPAP machine. So far, so good. I've been able to use it all night, every night since I first got it. Being able to breathe in bed had been such a relief! For the first time in years, I'm getting some good sleep. I have some leakage problems with the mask that I haven't ...
