Re: Sex Life and Sleep Apnea
As a female, I can only say that CPAP can have a negative impact on your sex life in terms of spontaneity. If I have no interest in sex when I get into bed, the mask goes on. Usually, I just start doing things or verbalize my desire to have sex before getting into bed. However, sometimes I get into ...

Re: FF Mask Recommendation
I'm not an expert, but... I just started using a new mask called FullLife Full Face Mask Fit Pack by Phillips Respironics. Very cheap at only $34.00 for the mask, headgear, and 3 different sized cushions at cpap.com. I just ordered 6 more in case they discontinue them. I am shocked by how comfortabl...

Re: Told my sleep doc to "stop practicing sleep medicine"
Mine was pleasant but basically just going through the motions. Upon my last visit, he informed me that he was retiring in two days, so I would have to find a new sleep specialist. No great loss to me, as there was no relationship between us. I did fire a primary care doctor once. I told him point b...

Re: Sleeping Pill Poll
I was offered pills by my primary care physician. I declined because I don't think I need them and I can't take them with my job anyway. Getting to sleep is not the problem. It's the quality of sleep. Yeah, falling asleep was not a problem for me either. The doctor said they would make me stay asle...

Re: adjusting the mask tips
So for several days I've been using my cap daily. Both day and night to try to adjust to it. But no dice. The only time it almost worked was when I had a bit of day time sleepiness(I generally have a slight issue, but could probably fall asleep if I lay down). Any other advice? How long can it take...

Sleeping Pill Poll
I've been on CPAP for 4 years. When I was first diagnosed, the sleep specialist said I had a very bad case, which I already knew because I was waking up every 45 minutes or so choking to death, and suggested I get a prescription for sleeping pills along with my new machine. I declined the sleeping p...

Re: FullLife Full Face CPAP Mask
I had one a while ago. There is nothing about it that will prevent mouth breathing. It's kind of a pain to put on and to get adjusted, but it did work okay for me. The cushion tended to "jump" on exhale, that was a little too disconcerting for me to tolerate. If you do like it, I'd suggest buyin' u...

Re: Heartburn
Now I only drink the apple cider vinegar once in a while as a preventative because I truly believe it aids in overall good digestion. yes, there is a theory going around that GERD is due to too little acid rather than too much acid. In fact there is at least one book on the topic. I looked into it ...

Re: FullLife Full Face CPAP Mask
By looking at the price, I'd say this mask is being discontinued. I don't see any way that it would hold your chin up so you could not open your mouth. I really don't think the strap goes under the chin. If you order the mask and like it, you may not be able to get it again. True, but if I do like ...

Re: FullLife Full Face CPAP Mask
what would your mask choice have to do with your chinstrap choice? Perhaps I am confused by your question. It says the FullLife Full Face CPAP Mask has an extra chin strap to keep it from riding up, but I want to make sure that the chin strap doesn't push my chin up to make my mouth stay shut on pu...

Re: Head Gear Question
I have been experiencing the same neck problems with my F10. Its squeezing my neck muscles, and my neck is cracking when I move it. I read the extensive advice available on a previous post here on the Oracle oral mask,I am strongly considering ordering it as soon as my insurance date comes around s...

FullLife Full Face CPAP Mask
Hello All Right now, I use a Quattro FX face mask which fits okay. I can buy a replacement cushion for a little over $50.00 or... I can try a new mask that costs a lot less. It is called a FullLife Full Face. So-so reviews. My main question is about the chin strap. Will it make my mouth stay closed?...

Re: Heartburn
Hi everyone it's been a while since I posted. I seem to having a terrible case of gerd It starters about 3 weeks ago. I had my equipment upgraded and my insurance co would only allow to have a full face mask. I am a mouth breather but for years I used nasal pillows with really no issues used a chin...
