Re: Sleep lab results, says no auto machine
I hope I am not hijacking a thread. I though about starting a new one, but I thought the title fit my experience. I was recently diagnosed and was given a ResMed Airsense 10 CPAP by my Sleep Specialist. I went to my sleep specialist office and spoke to the technician who gave me that machine. I told...

Re: Headgear Issues - Resmed PT10 for her
I have the same issue with this headgear. I am supposed to wear a chin strap. I thought I would try and see what my leak rate and AHI were without the chin strap. I tried it one time without the chin strap on and my leak rate and AHI were still in the acceptable area. I decided that it was better to...

Re: First night with CPAP….nostrils killing me!!! :(
I recently starting using this mask also. I almost quit using it because I felt like my nose was going to fall off. It was so sore on the outside of each nostril. I did watch the fit guide and I realized that I was wearing it wrong. I had it pulled down in the back. One strap was low on back of head...

Re: Chin strap question (dumb maybe)
I started therapy about a month ago. I was told to put my chin strap in first. It helps to hold my mask straps in place. If I don't wear the chin strap, my mask moves around a lot when my hair moves.

Re: Sleepyhead help
I went to my doctor's office today. The lady that I need to talk to was not there. She will be there with my doctor tomorrow. I spoke to another person. She looked at my records and the doctor did not specify in his notes which machine to give me. She said that they could ask him tomorrow which mach...

Re: Sleepyhead help
Thank you so much for your help. I will post an update after I go to the doctor's office. I just know that the Doctor told me that I would be getting the better machine and I expect to get the better machine.

Re: Sleepyhead help
Does anyone know what the insurance billing codes are for the better machines? Or is it the same code no matter which machine?
I have seen some codes in some of the posts, but I have no idea where I would find them.
I feel like they duped me because I didn't know any better.

Re: Sleepyhead help
I got my machine from my sleep doctor. I will be going to their office tomorrow. I will tell the lady who gave me the machine, that I was supposed to get the better machine. If she doesn't give me the better machine, I will make an appointment with my doctor for this week. I was already irritated wi...

Re: Sleepyhead help
My machine does say AirSense 10 CPAP. I thought it was Autoset when I did my profile. I will correct that now.

Re: Sleepyhead help
Well I am irritated now. I was told by my sleep specialist that since I had United Health Care, I could get the better machine. Since I am new at this, I thought it was a better machine. I have had this machine since 12/23/2015. Do you think I will even be able to trade it in for another machine? I ...

I am not sure if this is the place to post this question. If not, sorry. I have been looking for quite some time and have not found what I am looking for. Thanks ahead of time for any help I can get with this problem. Here are my questions. 1. Does Sleepyhead work with ResMed Airsense 10 CPAP? 2. If...

Re: bad primary care doctor...
I am not happy with my pcp either. I have told my doctor several times that I felt bad and did not sleep well. She would tell me that people just feel bad when they get old. I am only 54. She told me to get out and exercise and lose weight and I would feel better. She told me that I had to work at f...

Re: Time on Resmed Machines
Thank you so much for posting this information. I sleep until around 11:00 or 12:00 everyday. When I wake up, my Sleep Report on my machine would say I had only been sleeping for 10 minutes or 30 minutes. It was so frustrating. I called Resmed and my provider. They were no help. This place is the be...

Newbie Questions
Hello Everyone, Thanks for all the information. I have read some, but there is so much here it is going to take awhile. I have so much to learn. I started my therapy on 12/28/15. So I haven't been doing this very long. I have been able to use my machine for around 7 hours a night. I do sleep OK, but...
