Rainout with airsense 10 climate control
HI, I have the airsense 10 with heated tubing set to provide automatic climate control- but I'm having issues with rain out. Once there was water in my tubing causing a loud clicking noise that kept me awake until I figured out that I needed to clear the tubing, and many nights I get a nose full of ...

Re: Easing hubby into CPAP
I can comment on the stuffy nose issue: You may want to have more than one mask- a "daily driver" mask and then a full face mask for when you just want to mouth breathe or you're stuffed up. I generally switch to my hybrid mask (nasal pillows and a mouth cover) when I'm feeling stuffed up- but last ...

Re: THE GREAT PILLOW EXCHANGE
I have two medium dreamwear cushions in original sealed packaging, a Medium wide in a ziplock baggie- tried it on but never used- and an additional medium cushion that I used for two nights. Looking to trade the 4 medium cushions for smalls.

Pediatric masks
Hi, I finally got my airsense 10 with dream wear mask today (yay) so I'll be using that for the first time tonight- but I also learned that a close family friend's daughter has just been diagnosed with sleep apnea. She's only 5, and she was born very very premature (24 weeks!) so I don't know if her...

Re: nasal blockage
It was the nostril on the side I was lying, but even after I propped myself up so that there was nothing against my face/nose it still returned after laying down. I'll try adjusting the humidity, I think I had the climate control at 75 or so- I'm in the northeast, so it's winter time and very cold o...

nasal blockage
I've been using CPAP for about 3 weeks now and I've had good luck with it. I tried a few different masks and I settled on the swift fx which has been working nicely for me - except tonight I found it very difficult to breathe. After some tinkering I realized I wasn't getting any air in my right nost...

Re: Have dx, can't get rx
Update: I (finally) went for my follow up appointment. This is actually the first time I've met the doctor, as before it was a technician or someone I spoke to. I told him that I "borrowed" a machine from a friend and was having great results. I had already decided I wanted the airsense 10 for her w...

Re: Arousals and tiredness. Sleep test attached.
Just curious about why you're asking specifically... what are you thinking about re this? he said I should look for other causes because my AHI was low. I did not show him the test I posted here, because that one is old. The newer one I showed him reported an AHI of 9 AHI of 9 is still mild sleep a...

Re: Using CPAP as a screening tool
Your description of them sounds as if they already perhaps need to be in either a hospital taking serious evaluation or in a nursing home, seeing doctors weekly. Your description sounds as if they should probably not be driving automobiles, Ha, please. Tell me exactly what qualifies you to determin...

Re: Using CPAP as a screening tool
Update: I did it, and it went extremely well! I set my dad up overnight. At first he was having a lot of the issues you guys were worried about with not adapting to the CPAP, but after a few minutes he was able to get used to it and agreed to sleep with it. I had it in CPAP mode with a pressure of 4...

Re: Waking up with anxiety??
Probably not, 1.5 AHI still means you average 1.5 events per hour. It could be that your minimum pressure is too low. Do you have sleepy head software? With that data you can probably see exactly what's going on.

Re: Waking up with anxiety??
'll have a dream that I'm suffocating, and I wake up abruptly and pull the mask off with my heart beating fast. It takes me about an hour to relax after these episodes. I had that same experience just prior to starting CPAP, it was terrible and it made me anxious about going to sleep- but it hasn't...

Re: OA under 10 seconds
interestingly, my new flags show around 4-6 events per hour in addition to my AHI, its very interesting to know that I do flat line 4-7 times an hour, even though only 1 or less of these are clinically significant. Thanks for indulging my curiosity! (dont worry, I wont go fixing things that arent br...

Re: OA under 10 seconds
I understand your wanting to see 'the whole scope', but to what end? You can micromanage things into the ground just because you can and it's new and interesting, but what will it prove? You can get fixated and stressed by that kind of thing which is not considered significant and then go to great ...
