Re: Newbie here - First night with my cpap
Hi. I'm also a side sleeper and have been on my cpap machine for about 10 months now. I just can't fall asleep on my back at all. I use the Resmed Pillows. I sleep with my face almost buried in my bed pillow, but the air vent is not blocked. I tried one of the full nose masks, and that lasted about ...

Re: Alleviating Stubborn Nasal Congestion/Dryness
Hi 49er. From my own personal experience, I find that a simple saline solution works best in keeping my sinuses cleared out. Both my primary and pulmonary docs have said that it can be used as often as necessary because it is all natural. Also, several of my friends use a "Nettie Pot" in the shower ...

Re: THE GREAT PILLOW EXCHANGE
I have sent Swift Fx nasal pillows for trade in a small 5" x 7 " bubble envelope, and the postage around 2 yrs ago was about $1.75 as I remember. If you put too few stamps on it, it will come back to you with postage due. Thank you for addressing the postage issue, Codinqueen. I was wondering about...

Re: How long have you used your CPAP Machine?
Since December 23, 2015. Today is two weeks. First night I slept 2.5 hours with a full face mask. I felt like I was suffocating. Swapped mask the next day for a Swift Nasal Pillow. Second night I slept 4 hours. Swift Nasal Pillow headgear kept sliding off my head. Swapped nasal pillow the next day f...

Re: Newbie with questions
I hadn't thought about an alarm like that, but that's a great idea. Yes, something like this will definitely wake me.
I believe that first night with the full-face mask caused a lot of unfounded fears as I tossed and turned. Thanks OkyDoky

Re: Newbie with questions
Thank you Julie. I know that sounded like a stupid question, but it's been on my mind since the first night when I wore the full-face mask and felt like I was suffocating. Since then, I thought my body would respond automatically. However, I have learned not to assume anything anymore! I'll continue...

Newbie with questions
I just started using my ResMed CPAP 2 weeks ago. The first night I lasted 2.5 hours with a full mask. I felt claustrophobic. The very next day I swapped the mask for a Swift nasal pillow. The second night I lasted 4 hours with the nasal pillow. The stretchy bands kept slipping on my head. I swapped ...
